Can you truly call yourself "in shape" if you cannot run a sub-15 minute 5k?

30+ Minutes = Slow and out of shape tier
25 minutes = decent, probably in alright shape
20 minutes = fast tier, dedicated runner or other sport that involves running

Sub 15 minutes = elite tier, spent most of your time running, training and dieting. Have adapted lifestyle to revolve around training. Probably compete at national level.

Nice larp

Ah sorry... it's me again. forget what ever i told you.

In reality i have arare genetic disorder, and my records just dont get accepted because of that. Sorry I totally forgot. Now I have my story straight

Is it of the mental type?

I understand. I'm the handsomest man my mom has ever seen, but everyone else has a genetic condition that doesn't allow them to see my beauty. So I spend my time being unnecessarily contrarian to strangers on the internet in an effort to prove how much gooder I am than the entirety of humanity.

If you think someone out of shape can hold a 10 to 11 minute mile pace for 30 minutes then you really overestimate people.

I'd say 30ish is decent shape.

Sub 15 is a bit overboard. There’s people that look “fit” who would struggle and throw up trying to make sub 20 so I’d say thats the bar and even that is probably extreme.

I run about a 19:20 5k and lift 2/3/4.5/5 at 190 lbs and will say a 7:30 mile is the minimum to being "in shape" for men, but anyone can easily train to a 6:00 mile. At that point you have to work a lot harder to make progress and you've already gotten most of the benefits of running, I would not suggest continuing to train it after that point as speed is something acquired much faster than strength and can easily be recovered after a break in training.

>speed is something acquired much faster than strength

Not really, its similar to lifting. You gain it quickly at first then make much less gains once you get closer to genetic potential.
