Can you truly call yourself "in shape" if you cannot run a sub-15 minute 5k?

Can you really call yourself in shape if youre still shitposting on fit?

Coz I don't weight 50kg with no muscles on my body

Sub 15 means you're almost certainly running 4-5 times a week. You could be a fit person who swims or cycles for cardio and not be able to do

Sub 15 should be easy for anyone in moderate shape. You don't need to be a runner to do it

Have you ever pressed 1 plate over your head?

You have zero clue what you are talking about. To do a sub 15 minute 5k you have to be training for speed and run 5 times a week.

An in shape person should be able to run a 5k in around 20 minutes.

You can't call yourself in shape if you can run that fast. You'll literally die from the loaded carry volume if you accidentally put two sets of keys in your pocket you wispy little fruit.

I can barely do it at a sub 9 minute pace.

Doing it at a sub 5 minute pace per mile is fucking I'm 14 and on track tier.

based and realitypilled
ask me how i know you're a lanklet

sub-25 minute 5k is "in shape"-tier
sub-20 is athletic-tier
sub-15 is track & field tier

I don't know man. I run my miles at 6:40. Could probably get to 6:15 if my life depended on it. I don't see how I could do 3 miles at sub 5 minutes

"Easy for anyone in moderate shape". Bullshit. You need to hit a 16:10 5K to quality for NCAA D1 running scholarships.

Good for you for hitting

what kind of a cringe larp is this
what's the point even? i'm gonna go fuck your whore mother since you're so retarded, retard

I was sub 12min on 5k back in college. But these days im a boomer out of shape and can hardly push for

Yes.

The guy clearly hit a

Except he probably didn't. Sub 15 is elite tier and to get there you know how hard it is.

>You had a sub 12mins 5K in college
>World record is currently >12mins

I ran an inoffical world record on the track. I stopped it with my watch. It was 11:58min.They didn't let my into the track and field team since because "I would disturb the team structure".

30+ Minutes = Slow and out of shape tier
25 minutes = decent, probably in alright shape
20 minutes = fast tier, dedicated runner or other sport that involves running

Sub 15 minutes = elite tier, spent most of your time running, training and dieting. Have adapted lifestyle to revolve around training. Probably compete at national level.

Nice larp

Ah sorry... it's me again. forget what ever i told you.

In reality i have arare genetic disorder, and my records just dont get accepted because of that. Sorry I totally forgot. Now I have my story straight

Is it of the mental type?

I understand. I'm the handsomest man my mom has ever seen, but everyone else has a genetic condition that doesn't allow them to see my beauty. So I spend my time being unnecessarily contrarian to strangers on the internet in an effort to prove how much gooder I am than the entirety of humanity.

If you think someone out of shape can hold a 10 to 11 minute mile pace for 30 minutes then you really overestimate people.

I'd say 30ish is decent shape.

Sub 15 is a bit overboard. There’s people that look “fit” who would struggle and throw up trying to make sub 20 so I’d say thats the bar and even that is probably extreme.

I run about a 19:20 5k and lift 2/3/4.5/5 at 190 lbs and will say a 7:30 mile is the minimum to being "in shape" for men, but anyone can easily train to a 6:00 mile. At that point you have to work a lot harder to make progress and you've already gotten most of the benefits of running, I would not suggest continuing to train it after that point as speed is something acquired much faster than strength and can easily be recovered after a break in training.

>speed is something acquired much faster than strength

Not really, its similar to lifting. You gain it quickly at first then make much less gains once you get closer to genetic potential.

Yes

OP, you're a retarded cunt

Sub 15 for 5k wins most road races, gets you a spot on almost any D1 track roster in the US, and gets you a scholarship at some weaker schools. You’re either trolling or you don’t know anything about running.

retard. thats all im gonna say

The dude absolutely did not run a sub 15 minute 5k. More likely he ran 3.1 for distance on his gps watch and forgot to change it from km to miles, and actually just ran shy of 2 miles in 15 minutes (which can conceivably be done pretty easily by someone athletic who isn’t training to run 5k).
