Is $5 on a $65 bill considered an acceptable tip?

Why does the waiter deserve more money if I ordered a steak and beer vs if I order mac and cheese and water?

If you have a large party and/or order lots of things I can see deserving a tip, but IMO the price of the food is irrelevant.

But I still tip, like a cuck, because it's traditional and I only eat out when I feel like spending money. If you're going to be cheap, eat at home.

i was a server for 7 years, now i have a real job. servers make way too much for the amount of work they do. the tipping culture in our country is unreasonable. yes, for what you did 5 dollars is fine.

7.7% = shit.

Classic braindead alt-right kiddie response. Zero comprehension.

That metric really fucking depends on the establishment and your new occupation, user.

i was a server for a major chain restaurant. I went to college and now work for a big dot com ecommerce site. a half decent server can easily make 40k a year.i started lower than that at my real job but now make about double.the amount of work is not compatible though. be happy with your 5 dollar tip

No. Thats far too high
