Most Wire fans tend to hold up the first three albums as their best work, with various albums of their later period being second-tier, while mostly dismissing their more "pop" period. I am a musician. The quality of the songs in general and the ability of them to "move" the listener is greater on TDB than MLOR.

Or you can just chalk it up to you prefer MLOR and I prefer TDB. I'm ok with that.
