Underrated songs thread

This is Pink fucking Floyd. Who the FUCK underrated Pink Floyd?

Not even just The Clash - he's saying a track on London Calling is underrated.

lol

I'm saying The Card Cheat is an underrated song by them.

Compared to all their other songs, it's a banger. It's underrated, they never played it live.

They played The Card Cheat at every gig for a fucking year. Fuck off, zoomer.

This is a million times better than "Oh Yeah" which they're mostly known for: youtube.com/watch?v=fn3QOh8HYJc

Keep Your Eyes Peeled = Queens of the Stone Age

Most Floyd fans don't give post-Waters material much consideration. And of the ones who do, granted TDB>MLOR, but still, "Wearing The Inside Out" is never near anyone's top 10 or, shit, even top 30 Floyd playlists.

This song is an allegory of Richard Wright's emotional state during his last years in the band (remember he was fired during the production of The Wall but retained as a salaried crew member for the tour, then jettisoned promptly afterwards) and up to his reconnecting with Gilmour & Mason. He was already a quiet introvert, but Waters had demoralized him to the point of feeling absolutely worthless. He finally started to come around during the MLOR timeframe but didn't regain his voice (figuratively speaking) until TDB came around. This song is him learning how to reconnect with his voice and, finally, express it.

"Look at him now, he's paler somehow, but he's coming around
He's starting to choke, it's been so long since he spoke, well he can have the words right from my mouth"

That's Gilmour essentially saying "Rick has suffered in silence long enough. He needs to heal and I want him to heal, so I'm going to STFU and give him the spotlight. Please listen and appreciate what he has to say."

This was the first (and only) song since "Time", 21 years prior, to have Wright on lead vocals, and the only song past that point to not be credited to either Gilmour or Waters.
