So I'm drunk, in quarantine, and thinking

It's all in your head. Show me where the rules of the universe are written.

Also, lets say you do procreate, what good did it do? You brought people in the world who now have to do those two things. Procreate or create something useful. Something useful for society so what, so they can live happier lives? And they should all be doing the same thing for everyone else, for what reason, so there can be more people living happier lives? What's the end game?

What if we create a beautiful thriving world filled to the brim with people and we're multi planetary and our ancestors were very hard working and useful and everything is basically free because robotics and AI do everything for us. What do we do?

So basically, if you procreate and create a better life for future generations, you are depriving the future generations of those two purposes you defined. So you're actually doing something bad for the future. Idk. I think we can already decide that we're pretty good now and the work our ancestors put forth have done a good job and we're already living in a near utopian life. Sitting here with ac, working from a computer and debating philosophy on a global interconnected communication system while drunk.

Living for yourself is selfish. God put us on earth to simply find a mate, marry and procreate. If the rules were adhered to, we'd have less people and a stable society, now god is punishing us with the virus. Watch Kenneth Copeland...might learn a thing...or two

Aristotle said there are 3 main lives.
1. Politics, power
2. Knowledge
3. Carnal pleasure. Dope. Crack. Sex. ..

There is tons of shit written about your thinking user but this is just one example.

Also thinking in terms of "My legacy" is a grandiose fucking mindset. Will lead to severe psychological trauma when your legacy is undermined.

Invent shit if you want. Do it because you like to, not because you are going to be the greatest of all time. You will end up defeated at some point, then you will kill yourself. Just advice from a complete nobody whom is definitely not a therapist.

You say selfish like it's inherently a bad thing. All animals are selfish. For example you can't expect a prey animal to lay down its life to allow a predator to eat. In our persuit of selfish desires we end up benefitting the whole. This is because we cannot do everything ourselves. So if you want something, you need to create something and trade with with someone else. We specialize and I trade my excess for your excess and we're both happy.

What if we weren't selfish? Well, that system is very brittle because it depends on everyone doing his or her part perfectly. Maybe it works for less complex animals like bugs, but humans are much more complex.

Buddy we used to have a 40-50% child mortality rate 100 years ago and we also burned all the social deviants as witches and such. These people choosing extinction probably would not be here if natural selection was still in effect and the fact they are choosing that fate is probably for the best. Stop and take a look around and ask if what you see within society is healthy and operates in a manner that secures it’s future existence or if a bunch of spiteful mutants and deviants have been given the chance to destroy the rest of us

I mean, this is true, but doesn't invalidate OP's question. By merely existing in the Universe, you leave a legacy. In simple terms, butterfly effect.

Creating more life inevitably creates more suffering. If human existence has no purpose but to create more humans, then God put us all here to just create more suffering?

If so, that's a dick move.

I say procreating is far more selfish than not procreating.

Your god is a faggot and so are you. I don't care if you're a kike, a sandy, a christfag, or a commie. Get. Fucked.

OP is a faggot. What else can we expect.

Humans are just another primate. Glorified monkeys, bro....
