Top freezer sucks. You don't use a freezer that often but it in the easiest space. But then all your fresh produce which you have to use often is down at the bottom of the fridge and you're breaking your back 20 times a day reaching down for stuff.
Bottom freezer is better. But as I said above French doors blow.
The ultimate would be full fridge upstairs with water and ice in the door and a full freezer in the basement or somewhere remote to the kitchen.

I have this setup from GE and there is a water tap inside on the left wall.
To note, I hate the bottom freezer on it... it seems to always be full.

Top freezer please. Have a bottom freezer now and my old crippled ass can't get to the back. Put drawers down there and I'm fine.
