Kinda. Clerics fit that mold and what they call Prestige classes would make you fit it better but you will also be able to defend yourself even if you focused on healing.

It depends on what kinda game is being run, and it won't be as effective as joining your pals in the chaos of combat, but you can definitely make builds more specialized in being supportive!

Op here. Artificers can achieve non combat builds easily. When you start off as one you mostly buff your party.
