i want to be a famous youtuber man but my parents always hear what i say since i live in their house
what should i do once i finish university, should i just get out for good? it will take two years

honestly i wanted to be a crooner in a bar or lounge. I've been told that I've got talent from multiple people but I've always just been afraid of embarrassing myself by doing something autistic on stage.

>Youtube
What kind of youtube videos do you want to make? You need to find a skill or interests that you have. There is traffic for all possible videos. I can give better help if you tell me your traits. To be a famous youtube you must make content everyday. Your videos should be decently edited. You need to over something useful or entertaining. Look at all the ASMR bullshit getting views, if they can do it, you can. Don't focus on being famous til you have content fren
>Parents
Stop telling people you wanna be or do something and start working on it. Don't need to gain your parents approval. But you can use their advice even if you disagree. You can still make videos at home. If you are developing a channel, keep it to yourself. No need to get other approval instantly. Your parents will come around. They don't have the same mind, so maybe be respectful. Still make videos though.
>University
It is exciting to move around and move out. What is your major. Don't be afraid to relocate, but have a plan. I would stay in school and use as a tool.

If you're embarrassed to YouTube around your parents, the next you probably aren't the type who's gonna make it. Trust me, I know. I wanted to be a dubstep/EDM producer as a teenager. Looking back at it now, I had a decent amount of discipline, but I was SUCH a little bitch. I pirated my software and got my headphones in secret and didn't tell my parents anything at all. I never went to any shows until I went away for college and was way too timid about sharing things with people who weren't my friends. To be fair, my parents were anti-music and anti-fun and kept me very sheltered while constantly reminding me that music was a waste of time. I also went to a prep school 40 minutes from my town, so I didn't know any of the local kids who I'd meet in the summers after college who would have raves and stuff back in high school. Focused energy directed in ineffectual/inadequate places isn't good enough at all. Whether you were raised that way or it's just plain your fault, being a coward will guarantee failure. Especially in entertainment. I'm just a jaded loser, though. Don't listen to me. Why would you listen to somebody who didn't succeed? It's not like I truly know why I didn't.

bro, you need to move out and be able to get a job. there are glaring flaws that you need to address. when you address them then being a youtuber will be so much easier.
also consider this
youtube.com/watch?v=8oAKU7yiLcU

For any of you with "arts" type dreams, you're seriously better off trying to get a normie career to pay the bills and eat and pursuing your creative ventures on your off time.

If other people tell you that you are talented, it usually means you are. As long as it was multiple people. You should not be afraid to embarrass yourself. You must fail to create plasticity in the mind. Are you taking voice lessons. To become a specifcally a crooner you must build up a resume. Record yourself singing songs and contact local establishments. You will be surprised by results. Many people assume contact someone means you are annoying them, but it can be the other case as well. If you want to sing, you must look for job openings, this may mean you need to move. I highly suggest getting a vocal teacher. They will have the connections and it will keep you focused.

user of course, but should overall pursue dream.

i'm in a position where i'm about to level up my life considerably, but i'm also at risk of totally starving to death. I know what to do now, I have it mapped out. How do I have hope during despair when I think anything is impossible? How do I deal with the pain of everything that I have missed out on?

>what content do you want to make
games lol
when 83' comes out i want to primarily make videos around that. i want to make other videos too, but all youtubers i notice sort of have that main game that they can go back to when all else fails, and i think i will choose that one to become my main game once it is out
honestly if i really did make videos regularly i wouldnt really care if i became popular or not, its just annoying that i cant really talk on my mic a whole lot when i play games because my parents listen to everything i say. i doubt it would become a full time job either, if i wanted to be a 'youtuber' to make money then its a boat i missed out on by about 5 or 6 years
>major
i take history in university, once i am done i will probably go and get some government job in ottawa since i hate it here in my city and my job will make it kind of easy to get into what i want

If you are starving must work wagie job. If you have it mapped out work at it everyday for at least an hour-two hours. Put away hentai and Yas Forums for a little bit. To have hope you must look at your past accomplishments and failures. Find out what kind of patterns work for you. Find and read about other people similar to you. Watch this: youtube.com/watch?v=j-QUDT4KOUg&t=21s

As for how do you deal with missing out on things, realize we will all be dead one day. So look forward to another day to make the things you missed out on happen. You can focus on the past or be on the present.

I think wizards are pretty awesome

You must focus on creating video about 83' now than. Just create, don't overthink it. Don't wait til it comes out because people will already be tapped into it. Make videos about the game and expectations. You are very concerned about you parents. If you have no money, find a comfy part time job or job on campus. Many jobs are hiring during corona. Like other user said moving out will make things easier. Even if they listen, still make the videos. See how your brain reacts. I know I sound like a fag saying this but your brain is wired to care what your parents think. Another think you could do is be direct and tell them you want privacy. If all fails make the videos in a car or at another location if you can. Collab with other gaming youtubers who have low views, cross promote. Do live streams. If you are willing to show your face you will get more views. This guy is perfect example of simple youtube videos getting multiple views:
youtube.com/user/penguinz0

You have a couple years so see what happens. You could do history of video games is a unique idea that could get more views than just regular gaming views and is niche focused. If your degree allows you to get easy job take it. But only if you desire. If it allows you to move, sound fine.

I want to be a commercial pilot and am going through flight school. Idk what kind of degree I should go for as ive been told that nobody cares what field your degree is in the airline industry. A big issue with this is that its really expensive and ill be super poor for a long while

I want to work in IT. I think I have a long ways to go but I am slowly building up my knowledge. It's probably a little too late to get far considering that I am 27 yrs old. On the side, I also do music. I love music and it's been a part of my entire life. I like to play piano especially since that's my favorite instrument. I also appreciate subjects like math and of course, I love history. When I was a child, I doodled my favorite cartoon and video games characters.

I "program" surveys for a living. How can I go from that to an actual programmer?

I have some computer vision projects I'm working on and a STEM degree.

Secondly, what would you say is a good plan to have during the current economic contraction. We're already at 10+% unemployment and likely to increase to 35%.

I want to work in industrial design, or maybe furniture design. Currently 2 years into a bachelor's in biomedical engineering. I absolutely hate it, and I'm probably about to fail most of my classes this semester because I can't find any motivation to put effort into them when I don't enjoy them and dread a future of working in engineering. I'm conflicted because I feel like it would be stupid to give up the possibility of a high-paying engineering job just to spend extra time in uni for a lower paying career. I don't look forward to the possibility of being an engineer but I also don't look forward to 6 year's worth of college debt and a low-paying job in the creative field when we're about to enter a recession.
Is it worth fucking myself over financially just to have a career I'd actually enjoy?

My dream is to build the first rocket that takes us to Mars
I don't know how much advice anyone here has for this, but idk if taking aerospace engineering as my college major was the right choice. Maybe should've gone mech e instead. Should I attempt a major transfer? Specifically looking to do something with composites, design, or manufacturing anyways, probably for SpaceX unless NASA gets their shit together (highly unlikely at this point)

you could probably get a technician degree from a two year school. I think only major airlines need a 4 year degree anyway. If you're set on flying for a major, study business or even computer science, cs is harder than business but would pay better if being a pilot doesn't work out.

I'm retarded and accidentally typed in the name field, ignore that

I want to be a multiverse travelling adventurer

(BE AWARE IM A USANIGGER AND IF YOU ARE NOT MUST USE ADVICE ACCORDING TO COUNTRY . ALSO IM NOT A FLYFAG) I would go for a degree that compliments your flying ability. Marketing would make you be able to get clients easier. A science degree would expand your knowledge in the area and make you more susceptible of getting a flying related job. A theatre degree would make your talking skills and creativity abundant. Other degrees can allow you to work on the plane itself or build/fix them. Would you ever partner with someone and open a flight company? You can also seek out financial aid regardless of age. There are multiple cheaper options for schooling. You may have to work wagecuck jobs to offset costs. Related to flying a unknown market is paramotors. Very small number of users and market potential. Having the skill of flying itself will already increase your likely hood of success.

i want to admin router systems or do helpdesk work but most of the IT jobs i see are for developing or programming

>I "program" surveys for a living. How can I go from that to an actual programmer?
>I have some computer vision projects I'm >working on and a STEM degree.
I can help with this. Did a similar transition. What country/state? What do you have towards skills so far?

>Secondly, what would you say is a good plan
to have during the current economic contraction. We're already at 10+% unemployment and likely to increase to 35%.

Contractions are never uniform. Some segments of the economy will do well as others do poorly. The best plan is to be in a sector that performs well counter cyclically or isn't tied to the general economy directly.

Tech is more ore less independent of global supply chains. No one in palo alto is getting laid off.

Or do you mean like how to manage your money?

t. economist

I really want to work for a space agency. Currently studying econometrics, surely there must be a way for me to jump fields? But I have no idea were to start.

i want to be a professional coomer

>I can help with this. Did a similar transition. What country/state? What do you have towards skills so far?
I'm in Canada but have US citizenship as well. The Survey platform is confirmit and uses JScript .net, I'm familiar with html/css/JavaScript. Integrated some chatbot/webcam stuff into surveys and have programmed some discrete choice exercises.

I know although not an expert in python/matlab/R/C/and some other stuff but don't have any work experience.

Currently using tensorflow to build a computer vision app in my spare time to add to my portfolio.

>Or do you mean like how to manage your money?
Sure, what advice do you have on money management? Right now I'm all in cash. I wanted to buy puts back in February but was prevented from opening a brokerage account due to regulations, and needed trading experience. I've passed the Probability Actuarial Exam.

go into electrical engineering you won't regret it.

I would love to be a YouTuber like said. I honestly think I could do it if I exploit trends and the algorithm, but I need to know where to reliably find that information.

While we're on the topic of unrealistic, I want to be a voice actor so bad. I want to see some cartoon on adult swim voice and hear my voice come out of some bizarre character. I wouldn't know how to "break into" the industry, even if I was super good at it.

(I'm simply a NEET God wizard, so if my advice does not suit you please don't get mad at me)

Sorry user but 27 is not old at all. For I.T start building up knowledge and a portfolio. For music create covers off the newest songs and put on youtube or soundcloud. For piano you must learn scales. Scales speed up your playing. You don't need to read music, but must practice at least moving your hands so muscle memory can happen. Sight reading is a very rare skill. You don't need it, but puts you above many other people. With new technology, sight reading is becoming a rarer skill. Listen to music in-depth and copy the songs structure (NOT SAME AS SAMPLE). For example I noticed M.J has a very specific mix and sonic on all his songs. For math and history read older books that have been written throughout time. For drawing start a journal. To get listeners create useful content and link your music. Many piano players who create how to videos will link their original music or get clients off videos.
Program things in the long term and short term. Start simple and get more complex. The more you create, the better you will get. I'm guessing your degree classes will enhance your skills overtime. But to really get good at something you must practice in your own time. You already sound like you are working on projects. To outpace others you must program things people need and based on current trends. Fitness trackers are currently booming. Productivity software is currently booming. With Corona, health is a open playing field right now. For current economy, I see employment booming back in 1-2 months. For the current economy one should have savings, and frugality. People at stores are wasting money on shit they do not need. Meals can be made cheaply and still taste good. Even if products are decreasing, jobs are still hiring and new things are being created. I keep getting ads from shitty companies making money off of corona.

>Tech is more ore less independent of global supply chains. No one in palo alto is getting laid off.
I do think a lot of the tech jobs are less safe than people believe. The Venture capital money could dry up and cause some startups to go belly up. Additionally some of the larger tech companies are carrying a lot of debt. They could be forced to trim their workforce if profits fail to materialise.

Thank you. I should mention that I am already a proficient piano player and I can play scales and I also know my aroeggios. I also have that rare skill to read music. It's just the IT that I am trying to acquire a knowledge on. I do have a SoundCloud and a noteflight but I've kind of hit a dead end with those accounts. I'm still working at it.

Damn dude, I love Charlie's videos. It's cool to see how far he's gotten.
Unrelated question, does anyone know how accurate these socialblade estimates are? I know that's a wide fucking estimate, but is he really making $250k per year at the absolute MINIMUM? That's insane. Good for him if it's true.

Attached: penguinz0 socialblade.png (1582x705, 379.34K)

For the bio degree atleast get a C so you can have the credits. With Corona I predict a lot of young people will fail the class or be fucked. If you fail, just know most people don't even finish college. But you still can with a little work. Can you change majors? Industrial design may pay less, but there are many things you can do to increase your income well in the field. Many people can use a designer. Many people lack creativity and the skill to draw. With youtube and maybe a website? You could reach your own clients. Many people in any country lack a good looking house and go day to day without even the thought of redesigning their space. The engineering job I expect will make you more money and is a safer bet, but don't force yourself. If you would like to stop college have plan. Don't drop out or just fail your classes. Don't overthink recession or how much a job pays. The reason people in creative fields make no money is because they lack the ability to market themselves and treat the art as a skill, not as a money maker. Think of how you can make money with designing. Make a chart showing advantages and disadvantages of both fields.

Thanks for the advice anons will keep this in mind and keep trying to get better at programming things, and to look for new opportunities/products that people need.

For first rocket on Mars you must look at Elon Musk's whole career. Read everything about him. Find **specific designers** of mars rovers and satellites and find out how they started working this VERY specific craft. You must join a space society and mech. society. You must seek internships with areospace companies. You must establish relationships with Instructors at your school, as they have multiple connections and knowledge. You MUST read about the history of aerospace and read texts from H. G. Wells to help your brain visualize and than deliver. To build the first rocket of Mars you must find people who are already working towards that goal. You must have people who work under you or above you to help you create it. Elon Musk gets a lot of create, but also has designers we will never hear the name of. If you feel the degree better works and you are more hands on it sounds, look into transfer. Regardless have a degree relating to space. Your brain must learn how to build things. If you don't currently work on cars, or other things. Start now. Find out the technology and connections used for rockets. Not that crazy for Space X: Kanye West said he would run for President, I believe now this is not a fucking joke. Even if he does not run, he will be in office I believe. If more people think like you our technology level would only increase.

I want to make money at home.
My advantage is better logic deduction, risk managements, intel gathering and information organization than other else(got 130~ iq friends checked so I'm sure it's pretty good) . Disadvantage are : depression caused brain fog, low self esteem, low motivation , social retarded, low concentration and bad memory.

I guess i can be a coder or speculator or anything brain reqired without socializing , youtuber or other social media related job or creativity jobs such as art, animation is a no.
If you could recommend other job opportunities or advices and plans for coding and trading stocks or else please help me.

You need to look into quantum mechanics and string theory. What are the current theories of how to make this happen. Build off of those. Also good to have a contact at a space agency or get training in physics. You can also possibly use the theory of aliens. Find a way to attract this possible creature and your goal will be sped up.

IT job is up to you. The more you learn, the more you can do. Degree is always good, but is not needed if you find training through the internet or youtube. To find a job that is hard to find. Look up all job listing sites. That may mean you need to relocate or even move to other country. Be open to using your skills on the freelance marketplace

>econometrics
Your degree shall be useful for booming space tourism market and private space travel, but if you would like to work at a space agency might also need to change degrees. Keep in mind degree and hands on are not the same. Get our hands dirty. Also read above. I would get degree related to space industry.

What do you look like? You can make audio videos for faggots to jack off to. Simply have a good microphone. If you show your face, like above you will make more money. Find fetishes that people can get off to. Corona virus fetish is big right now. You need to stop jacking off and build up sperm. Eat zinc and fruits and drink water. Find a porn producer. Best is to remain user and make videos of you cuming on a phone.Cum on all sorts of things. Such as oatmeal, apples, sinks, beds. Become a coomer.

To find these trends check trends.google.com/trends/?geo=US . Also watch all sorts of youtube videos. You need to analyze how they create videos, every detail. The algo is important. But useful content and posting daily seem to also be useful. Overthinking can hurt your channel. Studying SEO can help you see how videos rank. Youtube can be exploited by using bots and fake comment. This fake traffic will help boost your videos, but are risky. They are fair game though. Creating an illusion of views will increase the likely hood of people subscribing.

Voice acting start reading scripts and posting somewhere. A voice teacher helps. Casting websites are always seeking voice actors. Find a animator and create your own series. Learning dialects or other lan

Any new song that comes out immediately sameday create sheet music, piano cover guide, or instrumental version. For I.T you should look into simple things like hosting, domains, website design, simple coding, building a computer. Just start somewhere for I.T.

Social blade is a hit or miss. Some youtubers make money mostly from products or Patreon as well.

what's realistic advice of becoming a successful graphic designer?

For disadvantage start eating healthier and exercising. This does not mean becoming Chad. Food and exercise will not fix depression, but they do effect chemicals in the brain. Your neurologically fucked up. You have to rewire the brain. If you can feel shitty, you can also feel good. Cut time spend on computer. Mediation will create gray matter. Drugs such as LSD can help fix depression. Personally I feel like antidepressants are given out like candy and don't always fix things. People take them but don't change their own habits.

Coder: Create applications based on evergreen topics. For speculator start learning about stocks and markets. Cryptocurrencies you can make money. I see cryptocurrencies booming once more companies start embracing it. If regulation was more clear it would boom. Crypto may very well be the future and in many years some States might be paperless. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3471413

Now what people are doing are making coins based off of popular events. Trumpcoin and Yangcoin were both created. Being a open market if you get lucky you can create perfect coin. There are guides on how to code a crypto coin. Corona got dumped but is still an example:
cryptobriefing.com/donate-crypto-philanthropy-coronacoin/

Brain required: creative consulting. entrepreneur.com/article/76854

I want to become a professional soccer player, just like Jamie Vardy in terms of career progression. :)

I want to be a music producer kek

Thank you for the advice op, i guess I /self improvement/ now.
But I would skip the crypto businesses since instead of putting money in a blackhole and dreaming it to moon 2~200 years later I would put them to stocks or else. Not trying to be a dick but Yas Forums is totally cucked by pajeet's cryptos and I don't quite want to rope myself. Still, thank you for the advices other than that.

For graphic design have both drawn designs and computer designs. Build up a portfolio. Start designing free, than move into payed work. Employers or gigs will look at if you can deliver results promptly. For someone seeking a design, don't tell them, show them. Freelance: You need to somehow find a way to get paying clients. This maybe can be done by becoming a designer for streamer cumskins, youtube kikes, instagram cucks, mumble faggots, and so fourth. In return they must repost your designs and send you traffic. If they don't do this cut them off.

For getting good at graphic designing itself, simple work on your designs everyday. If you don't practice, you are not a graphic designer, just someone who likes to make art every once in a while. Besides freelance, there are many design jobs you can get. For views to your designs, create graphics of popular celebs or artists or building/places.

Find local league or uni. Have you already played? You need to create muscle memory or skill will not be there. Study Jamie Vardy. So it is possible for you to enter pros. But if you are older, might be tougher. Exercise and run everyday. Create soccer videos as well tracking your progression.

pscsocceracademy.com/pro-soccer-tryouts/

Take music lessons if not already. I see many producers today are music illiterate. If you create instrumentals charge people. A small scale method id cold emailing on soundcloud. If you message 20 artists. Be careful not to get banned. I think you will prob get one buy for every 20 messages sent. You can combine this with music marketing. Artists are dumb as fuck today and have no website or a shitty instagram page. You need to create viral songs. You must find a local music studio and intern. Create 100 songs and create a image. Contact 100 labels with a well crafted portfolio.

I want to destroy the state and our entire political system and replace it with direct democracy. How do become a successful revolutionaire in order to achieve this?

I agree, but in regards to crypto brainlets are attracted to it, so it's easy to make money off the market. I meant to add using other methods, not just buying and investing in it. Now in terms of buying crypto, yes it is risky. You are not a dick fren. This is what I meant as well, sorry if confusing:

incomeninjas.com/cryptocurrency/how-to-make-money-with-cryptocurrency/
Basically using the crypto term as a means to create traffic.

Thx 4 the vid

I want to be a physicist but I'm not sure I have it in me to spend another five years in school getting a Doctorate.

I'm an ausfag who is studying law and politics at university. I have a seriously keen interest in going into politics and becoming a senator or even PM perhaps for the Labor party (liberals are retarded jews). However I study at a university with a reputation for being shitty. In Australian Education, you complete your HSC exams and can get an ATAR to get into uni. ATAR is basically a rank on how well you did in your exams compared to the rest of the state. My uni doesn't do ATAR and are independent, meaning they're a lot smaller compared to places like USYD or UNSW (top unis in australia, especially UNSW - it ranks as the 13th best uni for studying law). Because its smaller, they have like no clubs. Its limtied to societies based on your degree (ie law society etc) and some shitty other clubs. They have a liberal party society but thats not what im interested in. They don't have labor and nothing fits my interest. I feel like i want to start up a society but I'm a first year stdent with no prior leadership experience. Also i can be an extremely politically charged individual.

searchapparchitecture.techtarget.com/definition/software

If you don't know software learn how to code. Many guides or can take classes. Create software based of what a large group of people need such as calender, adblocker, notepad. Simple softwares can go a long way. Creating something complex or not based on current needs can be created, but might not be useful. Software creators should find things people need. You can find a profession and make a software targeted toward that group of people. Carniggers need to be able to track miles. Writingcumskins need to be able to have software that makes writing easier. This could mean having a software that suggests better words or uses AI to adjust shitty sentences. You get my points. Work at making a software everyday.
A Doctorate will come with a big salary, recognition, discoveries. Don't mindlessly take classes. Maybe get a 4 year in a similar field. Don't let degrees dictate what you can do with your mind. Also relax and enjoy the classes maybe. Let your mind decide. If your mind is pushing to not do something, listen to it. I would still at least get a 4 year degree based on what you typed.
If you wanna be a artfag create a youtube channel doing sketches. Buy a decent camera and record the drawings, paintings, whatever. Draw current things or popular people. Have live stream of drawing. Youtube examples:
youtube.com/watch?v=BTH1rznDxCo
youtube.com/watch?v=QAWL6uH9ONs

This channel should be used to get clients, following and practice art. You can link to a website or page with personal art requests. For offline do personal portraits or sketch. Contact local establishment if you can draw people. Speed drawing can impress people. Maybe even have subject draw you to make it more fun. They will have bad drawing and will get laugh out of it or people who can draw will challenge you. Create local art events.

I want to be a gigging musician.
I technically already am. I got laid off from my menial job as a cashier because of the virus, so once the bars reopen, my only source of income will be playing a gig every two weeks or so.
I used to play three gigs a week with a different band and make close to 600 USD a week just from doing what I love but I ruined that by being a dumb pothead, showing up to gigs drunk / high, half assing gigs, and being an arrogant douchebag. So I got kicked out and I had to start from square one with a slightly shittier band.
I've only been playing music for a year and I'm entirely self taught. I go to open mics and public jam sessions regularly for practice playing with others to keep my chops up. Playing / jamming with people not in your band, especially in a live setting, is a great way to keep your chops up and I progressed very quickly. I still plan on going to these open mics and jam sessions once the bars reopen, it's the best way to grow as a musician.
Any more advice on how to keep this dream going?

Attached: 1584845933505.png (622x464, 313.12K)

You can still get into politics even if shitty university, and I would go for. Uni will help. but is very much the person as well. Many retards already serve, so it is not impossible . Books I think you should read: The Prince Niccolo Machiavelli, 48 Laws of Power Robert Greene. If you wanna win in politics you must manipulate and win people over. If you would like to create a club go for it. Just relax and be open minded, as many people in college always have a changing mind. I'm not saying agree, but you will meet people who disagree but would still like to be in your club. To build leadership observe people, put yourself in uncomfortable places, listen to what people have to say. For politics you may be able to join local, but be careful political parties are fucking echo chambers. Maybe force yourself to join a club and build up those skills. A lot of the time, all humans are narcissistic and to close minded. This can fuck up decision making.

You sound like things are going well. Can you busk? Besides gigging also look into being session musician work. As I already said above, find the newest of new stuff and create a music cover. Depending on how fast you can learn song. Post to youtube or any other place. You will get views.

I want to get a degree in IT/CS
But it kind of feels like everyone are going for those degrees. Wont there be too many programmers at one point?

Another thing I thought of doing was maby electro or computer engineering. But those degrees takes a lot of work to get. So If I can get I degree easier in IT/CS, while earning just as much as people in electro and computer engineering, then I wanna be sure that the market arent going to be full of IT and CS people first.
