Hows that game coming along? Don't you want to strike it big while you're forced to stay indoors?

Sure sounds good. How do I make games?
I haven't left the house for one month straight but I can't remember the last time i've been this busy and got this much work done. Was able make the "reveal trailer", set up the Steam page, finish the games website, get all the presskit shit done, and more. All of that stuff should be live within the next few days so thats cool. Now to finish a public demo.

I spent a whole day on one single animation, and failed to complete it. It is only 8 frames long. Is this normal?
depends on skill level, once you know the software you'll get a lot more done quicker, but if you don't know the tools then just learning how to do something will take some time
Gonna be honest, i'm creatively bankrupt and need an ideafag to save me with their great ideas
user devs, take it easy. Just because we are in quarantine doesn't mean you HAVE to get everything done. It's okay if you aren't making any progress.
Trying to work on implementing portal based occlusion culling.
Depends, is Dreams allowed?
>first piece of advice is watching video tutorials
Read a fucking book.
at a snails pace, trying to make my main character but I'm having trouble concentrating in it
feeling frustrated because there's nothing to blame but myself
Anyone cool?
Still working on my furry game, but complacency is becoming a recurring gag.
I'm trying to make lewd game with a character that's based on the Mii gunner from smash
here's the base mesh for her
Looks good so far user

You make this thread every day yet aren't making a game yourself. Ironic.

I've had to scrap a lot of my develoment on my Megaman fangame because I decided to use larger sprites instead of smaller ones that fit the basic Megaman engine I was using. I'm going to have to overhaul the engine to use a larger screen size and properly handle everything at a larger scale. Still, my project will stand out more now then it did before.
I've also tried my hand at composing some songs for it. This is for Floodman's stage, a flooded city in the middle of a storm. vocaroo.com
Everything I try to model just ends up looking like an Ayy. This is supposed to be a man
this is how meme man was created
keep it up and you can be behind the next epic reddit maymay
Eyebrows could just be textures, otherwise you're on the right track
Spent 3 weeks trying to make art assets. None of it was good enough to use
I'm working on a shitty idle game
I redid how stations calculate prices yesterday, so now I'm working on content like adding more things like new models for ancient spacemines or things to scan and explore.
legs too tall and thighs are too big. and legs somewhat taper when approaching the bottom
I've been doing odd jobs to take my mind off writing quests. I've cleaned up my UI, traced out some limited palette vignettes, and done some music noodling to try and get a mood down: vocaroo.com
if you're making a mega man fan game, you should get in touch with this guy. he QA tested the rock n roll fangame, which turned out amazing. i bet he could at least give you some helpful pointers if your idea has potential.

Do you have concept art of your character? I would draw up a reference sheet before attempting a 3d model.
I forgot to mention it's a hand drawn animation, but I'm using a 3d-model to help rotoscope it. I just finished it now, it's just rough to make sure the line work is perfect before exporting it back into unity.
Thanks for the advice, user! I'm still pretty early on in development. Y'know, what with the whole "Starting over with the engine again" thing, but I'll definitely keep this guy in mind when I start needing that kind of input.
I want to share more progress and updates on my game, but I hate socializing and the concept of page management.
But otherwise I'm taking a break while I wait for new PC equipment to arrive.
Cleaned up the high res sprite a little and added a combat bonus based on elevation
