Why do I like pre-timeskip one piece more than post-timeskip?

The character designs

Cause it was the first 5 or 7 times you were watching the same rotation and formula, rather than 14th or 17th

pros of time skip
>islands are weirder
>more strange devil fruit users
>steaks are higher.
>monsters and freaks are more common
>there are other crews just as strong as the straw hats
On the islands and out at see we see people who aren't just citizens, it's good knowing that there are other warriors out there.
> seeing character progression from the old days
> luffy actually struggling in fights
pre-time skip he really didn't have much trouble till Alabasta and even then he beat crocodile that arc, even though he was getting his ass handed to him near the very end.
>more world building and seeing the history of the planet
>better designs for Sanji and Franky
>seeing what other characters are doing in the world and the impact of our hero's actions
>more strange technology and ways of life

Cons
>nami and robin are is fanservice most of the time
>fights are hyped more than they should be
> countries are focused on more so than the growth of characters

Post-timeskip is tedious to read, I don't think weekly shonens are made to tell a story involving countless of side plots and characters every arc. It used to be more focused

yes

>>better designs for Sanji and Franky
>better design
>Franky
Absolutely discarded opinion
