Beefheart > Zappa

Zappa's music sounds like Sesame Street while Beefheart sounds like insane blues prog done on cocaine

I love both, the main difference is that Beefheart's discography is basically perfect (Yes, even the 'bad' albums) and Zappa recorded a lot of average material

To be fair, Zappa also shat out albums at a rate that would make King Gizzard blush. Mediocre releases are inevitable when you do that. He's still got enough great albums to rival Beefheart, even if they also come with a bunch of stuff that didn't need to get recorded.

Except Beefheart is utter, utter shit

Absolutely, it's still a remarkable discography. I enjoy a huge chunk of it up until the early-80s, which is where I start to lose focus. Jazz from Hell is probably the latest Zappa I've heard that I've really liked.

Pleb, even if you dont like TMR, albums like Shiny Beast and Safe As Milk are still really fucking good

I totally agree, or at least I would, if they weren't tremendous piles of steaming shit

>Zappa
>genius

Zappafags are more delusional than Tool fans
