News flash: Absolutely nobody gives a fuck about these guys outside of music nerds. To have a "classic album" (not just a cult classic) you really do need to have a somewhat universal appeal. Part of the definition of a classic record is that everyone pays a great deal of attention to it at one point or another.
There are no classics from the 2010s
I dont see this being forgotten in the next 30 years
Again, nobody knows who she is outside of alternative/indie circles and forums such as Yas Forums.
Most "classic" albums aren't classic by your metric then. Jazz of the kind music nerds like scares off your average music listener for an easy example.
You're halfway there with this one, it has had a profound influence on hip hop so far since its release, and it fulfills the "popularity quota", decent critically acclaimed, but I really don't think it has that explosive factor that a classic really needs.
i'd take you more seriously if you weren't so arrgoant
nobody initially gave a fuck about the velvet underground except "music nerds"
your point is retarded
Okay then, according to your retarded rules pic related then.
I don't think she's quite as obscure as you think. Maybe you're right. I don't get out much.
Nevertheless, popularity doesn't need to be a criterion for something to be considered a timeless classic.
