I've been leaving feedback on the actual tracks so maybe I should be leaving them here in the thread but do you have anything specific that I can start with in terms of how to fix the mix problems? I'm totally lost with this stuff I'm just tweaking knobs and ruining stuff then having to just say fuck it because I don't know how to fix what I fucked up haha

Techno guy here. The fact that you call my music very generic makes me think you don't know a lot about techno, which then makes me think that you maybe don't know shit about anything.
Please post your music so that we can put your critique into context. Thanks.
Dont need to shove your whole hand in water to check the temp if you can tell by one finger

>lofi indie
>psych folk
just realized I havent been posting the private link and now I feel retarded, still would greatly appreciate feedback on this demo
Don't need to, you're the ones putting music online, subject to everyone's listens, not me.
>inb4 WELL HOW CAN YOU CRITIQUE IF YOU DONT MAKE MUSIC??!?!?!?!?
I found the best way to learn is through practice. Just take 1 audio recording, and just fuck with it as much as possible to find what sounds good. Doesn't even have to be something to release, but getting to know first hand is way better than advice
Based.
Cringe.
To clarify, just take the vocal file by itself, right? As in isolated from the instrumental?
>Hey guys here's my music check it out pls xoxox
>What do you mean you don't like it? Thats impossible. You suck and your critique is awful fuck you pig
Take the vocals and put them over an instrumental and find the perfect balance. You'll be able to tell when it's off
Nice strawmen, faggot. What made you so bitter? Failed to get plays on your shit music?
