Fitting edition lmao.

Good evening /gg/ homos, help me out here please. Looking for a cheap short scale bass for home recording (either straight to interface with VST or through guitar modelling amp). Content with 200, 220 euro model if it gets the basics done. These two interest me
>Ibanez Talman 30
>poplar body, maple neck, P/J pickups
>seems 100% versatile but also soulless
>Epiphone EB-0
>all mahagony, fat neck humbucker
>seems 100% one trick pony but with character
Do you have any experience with these, or other basic short scale bass for home use?

no sam dyke plays rhythm guitar but you cant hear it in any of their songs

Oh hey, my dad owns the guitar in that pic (well, atleast one that looks alot like it). Though nowadays he prefers playing on a really nice red one, the same kind David Gilmour used. Should I ask if I could try his old one? Been kinda curious about playing guitar even though I'm more of a piano guy

Why does it matter to you which boomer played which guitar? Are you only playing music from the 60s? Do you only buy antique guitars?

Live in the now.

(Checked)
I'm a guitarist, the bass will never leave my room until it's sold. I'm looking for a cheap and fun tool to drop some basic bass lines to my hobby recording.

I got btfo before I got to reply last thread.

We were talking about Floyd Rose Tremolo systems. I said the whole point of the tging was to be able to do exaggerated dive bombs and shit and still maintain its tuning, with the locking nut being key to that. Some other user said that was a side effect, and another user said his strat bridge maintained better tune.

Am I fucked up here?

Wtf is this, guy comes in politely asking for advice and gets ridiculed? Is this how you roll in /gg/? I'm never coming back.

How many of you can improvise a kickass solo while taking a nap
sendvid.com/0goyw5o7

I know the neck pickup isn't even in the circuit. Part of EVH trying to throw people off.

But is that a 5 way strat switch in the middle, wired into nothing?

closet bass faggot

Through the power and magic of the Internet I was able to track down the influences for his guitar playing in the 70s. He lists Clapton, Blackmore, Paige and above all... Jeff Beck! I still hear a proto-metal style, though, that comes across as his own.

There is a 2014 Gibson SG Special at my local dealer for around $700. Should I go for it, or was 2014 one of the crap years for Gibson?

>He lists Clapton, Blackmore, Paige and above all... Jeff Beck!
same as everybody else, how surprising

im sharing this song with you fags first because i have no friends and would like some feedback

And it turned out to be good advice...for you.

>R$

Retard dollars?

Hey just posted about theepiphone the other day. The pickup is kinda muddy or fuzzy sounding on it's own which I really like, but it's a bit of a 1 trick pony. A P+J pickup combo would be more dynamic for recording. Also the bridge on the epiphone sucks balls, makes the action like a violin. No experience with the Talman but the last time I was at a guitar center, the Fender Mustang was one of the better basses in there and it's only like $500 burger bucks brand new. Might be worth it. I thought it sounded really good.

Reais. As in Royal Currency.

It comes in all black and some other unique colors as well.

Gibson has always been crap. Just buy an Epiphone SG

It's real as in brazillian dollars. Aka it's sam. Who can be conned into believing anything will better his "tone"

Gibson is amazing and total shit at the same time. They BTFO zoomers who think they can just press a button and receive a product. You have to try them before you buy them, just like the good ol days. Fender used to be the same before they lost all their soul.

Can we agree that Yamaha makes the best beginner/intermediate acoustics? The tone is nice, it stays in tune most of the time, and they are relatively cheap for a great reasonable price.

schecters omen extreme is what you want if you want to get into shredding and have fun with it. and its about $399, not bad for a high quality shredder with a kill switch just incase you wanted to imitate buckethead.

Retard dollars then

Lmfao 1350 prisoners just escaped a brazilian prison. The absolute state of retard apes.

gibson has never had crap and good years. people will throw different years out depending on their experiences.

take a look at this guitar from 1959, said to be their best year for quality.

But can you name a single anime girl who plays a schecter?

dont watch anime so no i cant

Settle down coomer.

Then I'm not interested. I only play guitars that have been used by animated japanese females.
