When I was 18 (2005) I had barely passed highschool and worked a very shitty job where a bunch of 40 year old lifers treated me like garbage, just because they could. I clocked out for lunch and headed for the recruiters station. Was going to enlist in the navy no fucks left to give.
Got there and nobody was there, place was closed.
Went back to work like a beta and kept working for assholes.
Thank god the door was locked.
Soon after that a girl doing a tech-school internship project came to work and we hit it off.
13 years later shes my wife. Nice house, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 140k a year. Never wouldve happened if I joined the navy.
