You should get no tips and your employer should just fucking pay you a real wage. Until the employer takes responsibility, the consumer has not only a right, but an obligation to NOT tip. Tipping service staff that aren't being paid a proper wage just facilitates the bullshit.

I mean, that's like a 7% tip, but I would deam any money outside of bill as "acceptable" as you are just giving them money, but I guess it really depends on the service.
