Personally I feel very happy that we as a People can make crude jokes about it, or that tourists can walk through such a place completely oblivious to the actual suffering that took place there. It gives me hope that it won't happen again. All resistance doesn't have to be iron hard, just having the guts(or innocence) to laugh at such a thing brings me hope that we won't let it happen again.

My great grandma was a polish jew that had to immigrate to the US because of it. She seemed to think it was very real. She hid the fact she was jewish till she was well into her 90s. Said she and her family changed thier names and denounced Judaism becoming catholics. This came as a shock to everyone in the family. She died just a few days after she told everyone. She was always 100% there and stayed witty up until the very end.
Not sure what this means for me but I've thought about it a few times. I was raised in a catholic house but I'm very much against organized religions.

OP, I'll be honest. I fear tyranny. In the UK we don't even have the right to concele pepper spray. It's considered "a dangerous weapon". I doubt the police will arrest you for protecting yourself, but you never know. They follow orders. I've carried a swiss army knife every time I go out since I was 14. I know it won't save me from tyranny, but I'm sure it'll save my life one day.
Anyways, I think the holocaust could easily happen. Via a global pandemic. Much like what we're seeing today. Yes, it has a low mortality rate, but the Spanish flu came in 3 waves. The 2nd wave killed the most people and killed young, healthy individuals. You could fall down the rabbit hole of this corona virus pandemic. I've stopped viewing these videos and posts for the peace of my own mind. It genuinely scares me how easy people fall in line. You'll see it all around you when you leave the house: Wearing masks, social distancing and all round just being paranoid of anyone you don't know.

What we learn about WW2 and the Holocaust is revisionist history. History is written by the victors and the Axis lost.
What the Germans were doing to the Jews was no different than what Americans were doing the same time to the Japanese. Internment camps designed to address what they saw as major cultural problems created by specific groups of people.
The Germans plan was to collect and return all Jews to Israel. Jews were genuinley destroying traditional German culture and society, much like they had destroyed countless societies prior.
Most religions have rules and regulations against unfair and deceitful lending practices. Judaism does not. This is why throughout history, banks have been almost exclusivley controlled by the Jews.
Jews died. Yes. To the degree of 6 million? No. Not a chance in hell. It's physically impossible to dispose of that many bodies in a 5 year period without ANY TRACE of photographic evidence. No memos, no communications, no orders.. nothing.
The images if starving malnourished Jews are all from the very end of the war. Germany was losing. Losing bad. Their resources were nearly depleted and they prioritized soldiers needs over prisoners. Typhus was rampant. And think about it... why would so many be alive still when Germany were in such dire straights? They had to be getting some food, some water, some semblance of care. What's the point of keeping them alive if your original ìntenr is to exterminate them all?
Why use gas chambers and crematoriums if a bullet to the head is far cheaper and efficient? It doesn't add up.
