Has anyone seen a port as illustrated before? Not as in the picture, that's just there for reference purposes.

Oldfag here and yes.

there's an entire web site just for that kinda thing: cable porn at pinouts.ru
USB 3 micro.
You can plug a normal micro usb into just the left half and it will still work but slower.
Also the other side of a port is a jack, not a cable, fucktard.
That looks like USB b
Yes
USB micro-b superspeed
the fuck you on about faggot, you starting a rekt bread?
Looks like a wafer connector.
Yes I've seen one. On an external drive from 10 years ago.

thanks for the recommendation, i'll look on there if i can find what i'm looking for specifically, thanks
that's the idea but it looked more slim and was the same size as the port and cable/jack on the picture

Do you want to install gentoo?

>they get wicked pissy about anything close to a ask for tech help, gotta phrase it in some shit way like "found this mystery cable in my uncles garage who worked for Microsoft in the 90's, has anyone seen any cables like this before???"
Newports u meen, muh nigah?
Excuse me sir, I'm government user here. That happens to be a prototype USB extreme capable of over a terabyte per second of file transfer. Can you tell us how you acquired it?
Foh got pic u bitch azz nigga u.
End hellz yeah bitch eye due
there are several on your motherboard
Are you sure? The picture user provided is pretty much standard issue pin size. The problem with smaller pins would be bending/breaking, that's why all the smaller connectors have connections on a surface. But if you're looking for uncommon connectors, go to the website of molex. Molex is for connectors what samsung and apple are for smartphones.
Post in the /sqt/ on /g/ don't shit up the board with help threads because we will meme you desu
ok so here's the story: my external hard drive's port and cable looked like the way i'm describing and the cable wouldnt go in the port, i check it out and notice some of the pins are bent. i then try to unbend the pins with a needle and notice some of the pins broke off. i try to put in the cable anyways and after finetuning the position of the pins i finally get the cable in. now here comes the weird part: a couple days later the port no longer has pins... instead it looks like the port and cable in the picture of the image i posted. how the actual fuck is this possible?
