is right, also Thelema and Satanism. The creators wrote the book(s) the religion is based on. Those religions have thousands or hundreds of thousands of followers.
I said if it sells poorly, I'll upload it for free. I don't care about money, just spreading the ideas. I've been beaten and, from following the ideas I'm trying to spread, I didn't suffer at all (not that a broken arm doesn't hurt)
I agree, don't follow things blindly. Take some ideas I have if you want, discard other ones, create life for yourself.
Joshua Foster
If you aren't incredibly charismatic and a good orator, it won't work. That's how all the con artists and psychos do their work. The only other option is to be a genuinely inspiring and incorruptible person like siddhartha guatama.
But we should be trying to subtract religions from the world, not add more. I just hope it's at least something grounded in self awareness or nature like buddhism or shintoism.
Jayden Ward
Careful Tony Robbins. That sounds like any generic self help book.
Matthew Roberts
> I just hope it's at least something grounded in self awareness or nature like buddhism or shintoism Yeah, it is. It's not the exact same, it still acknowledges the human condition in some form. Being self aware is a huge part of it, it could not exist without it. The self is the basis of one's experience of reality so controlling it is very important.
I left out things but from what little I gave, you're right. Self help books are utterly useless and give no direction, that's their selling point that it can literally apply to anyone. I don't think just anyone could apply these ideas I have, it actually requires knowing yourself and serious critical thinking. It's not something you can do in one day.

I'm already losing interest. Go be a life coach, man. We live in the most religiously apathetic time there has ever been, and it's only going to trend further that way. Religion isn't the way. Write a novel or something.
Christopher Gomez
If it easily attracts people, then why the fuck are you here asking for advice on how to get followers?
Brandon Russell
>How do I get followers for my religion? Die for a stupid cause and become a martyr.
Logan Jenkins
what have you tried so far to recruit? What demographic? Where? What's your pitch? How do you distinguish yourselves from other regions, from cults, sects, and even pseudo-spiritual or cult-like organizations that in branding distance themselves from religions?
this. Or that time that Steven Seagal said after bribing some Buddhist monestry so much money was made a Tulku. When asked he claimed that he, and indeed all living things are 'god' because there is godliness in all things. Also he released a Reggae album. Top that OP!
