How do I get followers for my religion?

1. "God" is an archetype for one's ideal self
2. An ideal self is not just how you want to be, it's fulfilling your will, not just desires.
3. One's ideal self can be actualised, i.e. one can become "god" (think of buddhists imitating Buddha)

The religion focuses on actualising one's ideal self, i.e. becoming "god". It's not theistic but uses gods in a literary or archetypical sense.

I don't know what info to give, that's some of the most fundamental ideas though.

It's like the actual ideas Diogenes wanted to share like self liberation but without the public urinating. I've been following these ideas for years and it's helped me a huge amount so might as well share it and maybe help someone else since there's no actual handbook for life and everyone seems lost trying to fill the void with things that further their suffering

Yeah, it is. It's not the exact same, it still acknowledges the human condition in some form. Being self aware is a huge part of it, it could not exist without it. The self is the basis of one's experience of reality so controlling it is very important.

I left out things but from what little I gave, you're right. Self help books are utterly useless and give no direction, that's their selling point that it can literally apply to anyone. I don't think just anyone could apply these ideas I have, it actually requires knowing yourself and serious critical thinking. It's not something you can do in one day.

I'm already losing interest. Go be a life coach, man. We live in the most religiously apathetic time there has ever been, and it's only going to trend further that way. Religion isn't the way. Write a novel or something.
