Can't convince myself
Why aren’t you a Christian, Yas Forums?
>Why would god have different rules for Hebrews?
The Hebrews are supposed to be a preistly caste, preserving gods word and to be a light to the nations. In judaism you don't need to be jewish to go to heaven
The closest real world logic is that God made man in his image. So imagine knowing that you know this. When you die you go straight to the judgement. You are their before the throne of God answering for all that you have done good and bad. If you believe in Christ you have a mediator a sort of court appointed attorney if you will. If you don't believe in Christ imagine standing before a court all on your own nothing you say or do matters you're already guilty in the systems eyes and your outcome will always be crap. Now the Beauty about having Christ on your side is he is the Judges Son. Imagine that happening here on earth then you can understand the importance of believing in Christ and choosing him as your mediator.
i was, but i couldn't reconcile the message of the new testament with the way the priests, nuns and christian brothers of my experience behaved. they were supposed to be "princes of the church", and they acted like fucking nazis.

Guessing you can't read hebrew user?
Ezekiel 23:20
Weren't there three crosses on Golgotha?
For god so love the world he performed a pagan ritual of making others drink his own blood and eat his body, and then allowed himself to serve as a human sacrifice, both of which run against the teachings of the "old testament"
because I wasn't raised that way.
I mean my family celebrates easter and christmas and stuff, and it's cool, but I never actually went to a church...
I would still happily join a crusade against the muslim hordes that are invading my country...
Crosses were defacto for crucifying enemies of the state. Its not a thing unique to jesus
