Well, your FED just printed money out of the thin air so I guess you could give some to the people. But at the same time they are fucked if they indeed get sick, that 1200 wont cover the hospital bills and the other everyday life expenses.

Yeah you need to ask to be furloughed by your company. They have to apply for the grant to pay you. But you cannot work for them if they do this.

Some companies have been getting grants and still making their employees work for them, essentially stealing money from the government to pay their workers for their 35-40 hrs of work.

However being a temp is dodgy grounds right now, technically you could be on a 0 hour contract which isn't covered.

If you do end up on UC know that from end of this month people are getting about another £100 on top of their benefits. But that isn't ideal.

Again ask your company if they can furlough you if you feel like you will be stopping work due to this. In fact if you are working then that must mean you are working in care or food. Everything else should be closed.
