government controlled medicine is life? prisons are liberty? no happiness without state controlled education? it seems the brainwashing worked.

Do you want good Healthcare or shitty Healthcare?
Do you want to go to a public prison or private prison?(FYI everyone chooses private prisons public ones have way way worse commissary)
Do you want to go a public school or private school?

>people being in prisons is an undesirable thing

prisoners cannot vote. the american goverment has a very big interest in imprisoning people they dont want voting. poors and blacks.

Fair enough. So, without using "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" then, the questions still remain...

Are profit-driven prisons a good idea?
Is profit-driven healthcare a good idea?
Is profit-driven education a good idea?

Are prisons supposed to be for delish food?

And the evidence is that for profit schools are worse in every measure.

this is a true statement, but it is difficult to fix now that all are for-profit industries

state-funded colleges and universities are used as a source of revenue for states. as far as i know, this started in Washington around 2006. money for Washington state public colleges and universities goes into the state general fund, and the state sends money back. gov. gregoire raised tuition for UW every year, and every year cut the budget. the university had to accept more out of state and international students. those students don't get tuition subsidzed by the state. California started doing the same when gov. brown got re-elected. the argument is that students are willing to pay for a college education, so states should use it as a source of revenue

the documentary 13th on netflix talks about the for-profit prisons effectively being a form of slavery. joe biden authored the bill that made for-profit prisons a big thing. bill and hillary clinton pushed the for-profit prison system,, and hillary created the idea that black males are superpredators who need to be locked up for everyone's safety. the documentary blames nixon and trump for the for-profit prison industry the biden and the clintons created, but it's a stretch to follow their reasoning

for-profit hospitals have thrived since the ACA was passed. obama ran on a platform of making healthcare affordable, the idea being that if people an afford healthcare they will pay for it. the problem is the ACA forces everyone to have healthcare. in a capitalst economy, consumers will not buy something if it not worth the price. the ACA takes away that option, people pay for health insurance that doesn't cover anything because it's cheaper than getting fined. the for-profit hospitals thrive because they are run as a business, not as a hospital. regional hospitals shut down because folks have crappy coverage that doesn't pay for treatment

1. The government covers everything in so much bureaucratic red tape and hopes to jump through it never does anything well.

Much better to find a way to let it be done for profit with regulations to make sure it's not taking advantage of people.

to continue the for-profit hospials, the big hospital near where i live is for profit. a few years ago, it was in the top 100 hospitals in the country for research funding and in the bottom 20 hospitals in the country for quality of patient care. they have a reputation for letting patients 'code blue' if the hospital would lose money treating them. that means they let patients die if the hospital would lose money on them. they are the only trauma center for more than 100 miles in any direction, so no one can sue them. you need doctors as expert witnesses for a medical malpractice suit, and doctors won't testify against the only trauma center in a region

I want to public my privates how do

>And the evidence is that for profit schools are worse in every measure.
You can't believe that public schools do a better job educating than private schools... What measure *exactly* do you mean, because it's not test scores, future success, or class sizes.
