My brother in laws father has it. Currently in icu. It hit him last week. He went to work, came home early cause he felt nauseous started throwing and had a high fever. Thought it was stomach virus. Late that night started getting body aches. Called ambulance. Got tested sent him home, fast forward to yesterday got call from hospital it’s positive and was admitted. He’s in a medically induced coma at the moment. He’s in his 60s and diabetic. He’s an amazing person who always put his family first. No one is allowed to see him. If he does pass he’s going to die alone, fucking heart breaking.
Just go outside and lick some public toilet or something. Then come back and tell us if the virus is fake or no.
I think that even if he did an AMA we wouldnt believe him.

Got tested because I was showing symptoms as a worker. It’s a weird test, they take saliva and also shove this weird rod into your sinuses. Hurts a lot.
I didn’t get seriously ill, but naturally it was a very unpleasant condition. Recovered after 2 weeks, I went back to work at the House of EdExcel where a temporary hospital had been set up for coronavirus patients.

In the US, mid-atlantic. I was diagnosed via a teledoc, and was told to not bother with testing or going to the hospital unless I couldn't catch my breath while at rest. It was like a really bad cold (not flu level) for me, with the added symptom of breathing being more difficult. It felt like hiking up a bunch of stairs and then trying to hold a normal conversation without breathing hard. Late 20s, no other health problems, chubby but not super unhealthy, 6' at 210lb. stayed in bed for 3 days watching anime, drank lots of water and took regular breathing treatments, fever broke after about 36 hours, breathing returned to normal after 3 days or so, cough disappeared within a week
if you aren't 60, it's just like any other upper respiratory infection, takes a few extra days to get over, but not a big deal.

As someone who has experience in treating COVID-19 patients, yes it does, it causes systematic organ damage, it just depends where the immune system’s response is strongest (there’s a very strong response in the stomach so inflammation often occurs.)

It's been reported that stomach and digestive issues can be present before fever or cough. I don't remember the source but can look for it. It also was reported a percentage of the sick patients had no respiratory symptoms and only digestive.
