As for your question, it is not possible for some one to study the word of God and assume he exists. However, the argument for intellegent design explains the fuctions of the universe by its creator, rather than relying on scientific principles with asterisks attached.

Is it possible to not murder some one simply because it's immoral to do so? And from there, is it completely justified to assume that the reason these commandments are in place is to set moral guidelines for behavior? There are reasons why god gave us these commandments, rather than simply for the sake of obeying them.

1. A form of hate speech used by theists to excluded and castigate anybody who doesn't believe in their sky fairy.
2. The beliefs of people who don't believe in a theistic sky fairy, and who have adopted the term to describe themselves. This is a case of "taking back" a hate word from bigots. The number of people who self idenify this way is a tiny percentage of the people who don't believe in the theistic sky fairy.
