People will argue that revolvers are more reliable. That's partly true and partly false. Revolvers don't usually 'jam' as often as semiautos but when they do have issues (timing issues, cylinder lockup, etc) they're a bitch to fix. The one big benefit of a revolver is if you have a dud round you just pull the trigger again and the cylinder will rotate to a fresh round vs a semiauto where you need to rack the dud out to chamber a fresh round.

Revolvers don't have firing pins. Meaning you can't trace the bullet back to the gun. They also don't jam, and look pretty damn cool.
