Hello furrries!
cute
how are you?
I'm doing well, it's been so nice to be back out in the countryside again
was about to go take some pictures of wildflowers
how are things on your end?
had a nice day
been playing with paint a little again and made some fresh pizza
Shopping was weird though, having to wait outside until the shop was empty enough
Yeah things are weird with the pandemic, it's why I left the city. Been over a century since something like this has happened and most people don't know what to expect. I'm glad that at least some people are starting to take this seriously and the social distancing measures should help, but I'm worried it's too little too late at this point. My brother is a doctor and the information I've gotten from him doesn't paint a pretty picture. I'm glad your day went well at least.
I never saw this episode but it's cool that he finally became self aware about it lol
Yeah, seems like this is going to keep going for a while still. Hopefully it won't reach italian levels here. France also seems to be beyond critical right on the border to where I grew up, so it's going to remain tense.
No thanks I don't smoke.
things are going to get bad here in the next month or so, at least as bad as italty in most places, worse in some urban areas. My brother and many of his colleges are of the opinion that attempting to treat severe cases of the disease will overburden medical infrastructure without having any real positive effect on those who are sick. Mortality rates for ICU patients are over 80 percent, and the treatments which were theorized to work don't have the expected effect, indicating we still don't understand some of the mechanisms of the virus. Administrative and political types of course have refused to listen, as it looks bad to just turn any covid cases away and say "go die at home", but the alternative is that all the doctors and space are taken up with patients that we don't have effective treatment for, while patients who have other medical problems or injuries don't get the care that would actually help them and instead die. I also worry that Americans will not respond well to actual quarantine measures which honestly should have been put in place three weeks ago in major cities.
Yeah, the two weeks on incubation period make the quarantine messures especially hard to understand to some people, as there will be no immediate improvement. Most seem to loose patience after a week at most
I don't think any US cities actually have quarantine orders in place at this time, just shelter in place recommendations and social distancing. Once they actually put up checkpoints and restrict movement I think there may be incidents of civil unrest.
Pictures i WOULD put on my wall or pictures i HAVE put on my wall?
why not both?
what's a good way to get some quality furry art prints or posters anyway?
depends on what you have
>so far, all that I've posted has either been hung on my wall or is currently sitting in living room half-done
>what's a good way to get some quality furry art prints or posters anyway?
Never bought anything, but I have made a hobby of painting stuff I like onto canvas
Oh that's a good idea, would be a fun craft project. Would just need to get some painting supplies
Any online printer service. I emailed a bunch of companies. The one i choose said they wouldn't print outright porn (No blatant pussy) but anything else was fine. ALWAYS get a hot laminate, matte or gloss doesn't matter. The heat makes the ink soak into the paper more giving you a much better looking image. (No ink jet alignment lines or speckling).
depends on where you live, its 30days in jail and a 1000dollar fine if you break it.
a few tricks I regularly use:
- you can print an image and stick it behind the canvas with tape, then shine light through using a little flashlight to trace stuff if, like me, you find lineart really frustrating
- cheap paint can be decent or bad, it's really useful at avoiding stressing over wasted paint
- screw sets with premixed colors, get some bigger tubs of basic colors and mix yourself, it's both more fun and more flexible
- tiny tiny brushes are needed for detail
- size matters, get a decently large canvas because that allows you to include details without it becoming to much of a pain
- cheap canvas works fine, no need to spend a fortune
- just do it, have fun, learn as you go
>tfw starting to run out of space for all those pics
also, even though I hardly ever use white paint alone, it's the second most used paint I have, closely following black (I've painted all skunks I've posted in this thread, that's a lot of black)
White is a key ingredient in mixing all sorts of colors, from dark grey to allow visible lines in black areas to any sort of brown etc.
Mind you actrylics, especially brown, tend to darken as they dry. Try on a piece of paper first
thanks for the tips! I'll see if I can't jazz my place up with some anthro art
good to know, again I worry that the response to this has been inadequate, glad at least some places are taking good precautions
Nice feet
> me high
> suggest high music pls, dear animalpeopel
What is the appeal behind being a furry? I don't see it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing anything furry related I'm just wondering. To each his own.
oh MY F***G GOD
this has really long intro but if you dont skip this is hillarious as f**
youtube.com
you watch film - hero is cool. sadly you dont look like hero at all. sad.
you watch furry film. people look like animals - you can easily imagine animal "spirit" and easily can imagine being these characters.
i think lots of furries are introverts and find it hard to even wtch porn and imagine being cool chads.
the other half are people who like arts avantgarde and just feel of fur.
the last part are absolutely weird autists etc.
appreciate the techno, but not in techno mood. I'd listen that at work.
we get this question a lot, my standard response is that the combination of cute animal features and attractive female bodies clicks for some people, like chocolate and peanut butter
exposure to anthropomorphic art and characters during sexual development also does a lot
some furries are more into the symbolic aspects of animal associations as well, using certain animals to represent their personality
Are you a time traveler from 1999? What's your fursona?
its more like psychedelic rock
but ok
Jury agrees on all three accounts.
user, your final remarks, please, so we can proceed with banging (the hammer. dicks, possibly, too)
YouTube search "ass pennies".
Simply speaking, anthro characters have the chance of combining the very finest aesthetics of the chose animal with those of humans, thereby allowing beauty beyond the limitations of real life. Adding to that, as it is fictional drawings we are talking about, there are no imperfections to take into accound, unless deliberately added.
Mind you, approaches to furry characters do vary in between people, which appears to largely explain differing standpoints. You can approach them from their 'human' side, thust seeing them as fully qualified people with fancy aspects, or you could approach them as animals with upgrades, thereby not granding them full people-standard.
>ass pennies
it looks like something between Louie, Seinfield and Monty Piton
think I'll work in the garden for a bit, it's so nice out today
I do not feel the response has really lived up to the hype.
The mortality rate is high, yes, but not in developed areas. Most people outside the critical age ranges are only presenting with cold, allergy, or no symptoms at all.
Its not killing people in any alarming rate.
Influenza A+B killed 23,000 persons this flu seasons so far, in the USA alone.
I feel there is a lot of over blown disproportional panic. Its not living up to anything they compared it to (h1n1 avian /spanish flu in 1918 killed 625k Americans in a year... it has a 2% mortality rate. Sars-COV2 only has a 1.5% mortality rate in the USA)
stopping the spread is good, its logical, but its being done in such a way that causes more panic, more stress, more chaos and encourages people to essentially break it.
ID like this is not new, its not novel, its been a part of human existence since the dawn of time. Some people die. Thats just how life works.
I'm in what the UK has determined is "the most extreme risk" despite no evidence supporting this.
>If you are sick... stay at home, if you must go out wear a mask. wash your hands. quit eating weird shit. This is the best way to stop this, and what people should have been doing anyway.
have fun, see you later!
Give me a massage when you get back? I am so tired and starved of man's attention
