i don't understand why some pizza slaves don't just buy a cheap economy car like an 80's Honda or Toyota. insurance on a classic car costs much less. parts are cheap. decent fuel economy.

my nephew is pretty smart for a pothead. the type of kid who pays attention enough to learn from other people's mistakes.
kid bought an 80's Supra for $800 3 years ago. it broke down, Pistons not firing, block got to hot and warped. he saved a little money so he bought a CRX $1200. (it's pretty fun to drive and well maintained.)

meanwhile
his co-worker/roommate bought a newer Honda CRV (with the shitty nissan transmission) it broke down, couldn't afford to get it fixed so he quit making payments like a dipshit. they repo it. gets sued for the remainder of the payments after they dealership auctioned it off.
the kid is still in debt for a car he doesn't even own. had to stop delivering pizzas because he didn't have a car. now he works part-time inside on the line cooking pizzas, makes substantially less bow that he doesn't get mileage compensation or tips.
ends up having to get a roommate (my nephew) so he wouldn't end up in an even more fucked situation, a SHITuation.

all because he wanted a "nice" car he couldn't realistically afford.
