Mozart < Beethoven

Any of you in any ensembles that have/had Beethoven repertoire lined up for his 250th? We just finished his Mass, Egmont overture, The Piano/Choral Fantasy. Great music.

Scott Joplin??

Bach > All

Been absolutely baring his organ concerti and sonatas lately. Great stuff. If you haven't dived into CPE yet, you're missing out.

I just found Mozart to be... childish? Does that make sense?

Chopin for his compositions. Cziffra for his technical ability on the keys. Absolutely mind boggling how good he was.

With an entire composition called "Lick My Ass", I'm inclined to agree; he has a childish sense of humor

Turbo virgin

Ya you're not alone. Lots of his music just sounds humorous.

It's clearly a competition for #2, no one will ever touch jsb
