Its not a fucking pandemic. Yes, people will get sick. No, no where near as many of those people will die as if it were the flu.
HOWEVER. This virus is fuckin fearsome because it went from animal to human. Anytime something mutates like that is cause for concern. In our lifetime we will see a disease wipe out some population but I dont think this is the one.

It is a pandemic. It's already in 97 countries with outbreaks in several and starting in many others. There is no way of containing it anymore. And it's worse than the flu because we don't have a vaccine to stop the transmission, and we won't for another 1-2 years. It will infect more people than the flu and kill more within the year.

No. No I will not. Use your liberal arts degree and find out how many people in the world on an annual basis catch the flu and what percentage of those die. Then do the same thing with this strain. Last I saw coronavirus was in the 3-5% range.
