With friends like these you have to find a convictions and principles that you both agree with.
Since they are partisan, they will slowly find out that they have no consistent principles to live by. they will see that your principles don't waver. then they'll come over to your side.... but you must resist telling them that you are a libertarian
i find conservatives and republicans lack a lot of foundational principles and just spout memes
