im triying to find my own style in drawing women, most of the shit i see on the internet is either roasties drwing cutesy shit nuggets, some dude drawing borderline porn or the tumblr shit

It's not very good, but it's a damn sight better than what I could draw last year.

I do engage in some form of self depreciation in my own head, but thats so that i dont get an overblown ego, you stop improving once you think that youre good, although that leads me to be very unconsistent, i often look at something i made a month ago and cringe, also, my work is very derivative from jjba and i have to fix that

you dont go to ic for critique my guy, you either develop a sense of whatbis good and hope that it isn't completely misguided or get in a real community of people who draw better than you or both

partly shitposting, crabbing, book requests(unironically useful), and simetimes you can get some good solid advuce, although most of that advice you already know and just have to put it into practice, i personally use it when i feel like im getting over my head

Not entirely satisfied either but learning's the goal and I've certainly done that. Even destroying a canvas doesn't feel like a setback or whatever. Fourth painting should be done this weekend.

it looks pretty good. although it's very androgynous, leaning more towards looking masculine in regards to the face. i think it's a bit of a mix of the somewhat strong jaw and nose that are making it look that way

that's good to hear that you're improving, it's always a satisfying feeling. the main thing that seems wonky to me is the arm, it's rather stumpy. also angling her body somewhat farther outward could help make the pose look more natural, as she's very straight currently

this may sound weird but for some reason the first thing i think of when i see this is like a 90s/early 2000s christian comic for kids, and she's about to tell me something about jesus. the eye on the left is a bit far inwards and cleaner lines would help. try some shading too

yeah thats exactly what i was looking for, i have a couple of female ocs that are more androgynous and have sharper facial features and i try to see how far can i push it before it starts being ugly, although i do have more femenine caharcters so i can have some variance, as i said, im kinda tired of seing the same women over and over again,

yeah, it has that vibe, but nico has this strange underbite looking mouth and her face is too wide, they're not exactly carbon copies to put it that way
