You know why the vikings were so successful? Positive mindset. They believed if they died in combat, they would go to valhalla. So if they win, they get loot, women, glory, etc. and if they lose they get loot, women, glory, etc. They created a win-win situation by believing the effort is what counts. So I say this
>Either return with a gf, or on one!

No, if ISIS won they only get to work quietly with no music. Thats why ISIS lost.
don't forget the fact that they are raised in the art of combat
not in the art of eating big macs like most NEETS here
the Hyperborean Empire, the empire in the North.
Greenland, North Canada, Svalbard and Iceland were the nations of the empire of the shining sun. This empire recorded yet not mentioned in contemporary history records.
But they were successful. They are one of the most famous warriors ever. They got the eternal glory they wanted. Do you think people will make books, movies, games, and forum posts about your lifestyle 1000 years from now?
This is true to an extent but the idea of "muh die in battle go to valhalla" is fantasized by modern forms of media. The idea of the afterlife in many European forms of paganism revolved around the idea of the material/physical realm being very important (compared to monotheistic religions like Christianity) upon death a European man is essentially assessed based upon his service to his people/tribe. The idea of dying in battle comes from the idea of death being the ultimate sacrifice an individual can make in an attempt of either furthering his tribe or defending it. Mindset was obviously important sure but their level of chad-hood stems from service to their people.
