Sure. My neighbor was 30 when he married a 20 year old. 15 years and counting.

Occasionally but honestly not really. The mental gap is too large for anything but lust to thrive.

It will sound like a cop-out answer, but it really depends on the people.
I doubt an age gap would ever be the sole reason for a relationship failing.

I'm in a stable relationship for 1,5 year now and my bf is 9 years younger then me. It works for us so why not for others

At what age did they both meet each other?

lol OP. That's not even an age gap.

You know most parents wouldn't allow their 18-19 year old daughter to date a guy past 24.

Maybe if she was still in high school. After that, it's free rein.

In my experience, no. Especially with younger chicks, they are fickle and fall in and out of love so quickly. The younger person wants to experiment more and gets resentful at being tied down so early (even if they said they wanted to get married) and the older person starts becoming more desperate to hold onto them. The younger person has their youth which is their main advantage. The result is usually that the older person gets cheated on and left.

My aunt is 7 years younger than my uncle and they've been married a little over 14 years

I haven't observed that "age gaps", or the lack thereof, have much bearing on the success or failure of relationships.

But how old are you? Origogalu

That small, maybe
15+years? No
Im a fucked up result of a 19 year age gap

How old were both of your parents when they met?

>I am 18-19, he is mid to late 20s
90% chance he's a loser taking advantage of you.
If it were 28-29 and mid to late 30s, you might have a different story.

>If it were 28-29 and mid to late 30s, you might have a different story
And that is?

How's it "taking advantage" when the guy is older? They'd presumably be having sex no matter his age, so what's the difference?

Both people are functioning, emotionally developed adults who know how serious relationships work.
Above condition isn't true. I wasn't talking about sex. It's common knowledge that young people tend to be immature and easy to manipulate or bully.

>24
>dating 17 year old
>can't see her because of the pandemic

It's legal in my state. Unfortunately her parents wouldn't approve our relationship, not to the point of calling the cops or anything, but they'd probably yell at me or something, thankfully she turns 18 in 6 months.

Does being a manlet narrow the perception of the gap at all? I'd like to think it does but it could be cope.

Unless you're balding or have facial hair then yes.

Im not sure desu. Im 20 and my bf is 30. Just found out hes still into trap cross dressing and Im so mad.

Not the other user but I have long hair and a little facial hair

>tfw age gaps are always m>f
>girls my age have the mental capacity of a lobotomy patient
>just want a mature partner and someone to cuddle
it never ends

I've only dated younger guys. It's been okay.

Yeah they work go for it and don't post here anymore afterwards

Sure, 19 here and my bf is 26. Been going strong for a year since we met at the start of uni. I like his boomer humor, general wisdom, manliness, etc etc.

How do your parents feel about your relationship?

only when the female is younger
when a male tries to attract an older female they will always be superior especially if they have had more experience with sex

my boyfriend is 28 and im 19 and hes really sweet weve been dating for a year now and moved in together 6/months ago
idk what id do without him he really takes care of me hes kinda a robot was a virgin etc but i love him more than anything

I was seeing a guy nine years younger than me before the wuflu shit. It was pretty great.

They all approve and seem happy for the relationship. But the fact that my mom and dad had a 10 year gap and his grandparents had a 15 year one might have made it easier to accept. His mom even told him to never stress or worry about the gap. And I guess my dad was also a bit relieved since I hadn't had any relationships before.

do you work/go to school? does he have a nice job? Also how did your parents react when you told them (assuming you did)?

It can be fine if the younger one is above their age, mentally, which is rare.

Even if that's the case, there are still big disadvantages:
One will die much earlier, potentially a decade or more, and the other will remain a widow for that long. This is soul-crushing at advanced age as there's nothing to "replace" the bond with anymore.
Reproduction can be hit or miss, it may result in unhealthy children or not work at all.

h-how old are you user?
is he into gfd?

yes but he said we couldn't be seen in public

This was the norm for most of history, even recent history. Men would work hard and then wait before establishing themselves and showing they had value to marry a younger woman. Now men work and try dating until they're in their late 20's-early 30's and get a woman just as old lmao, what a scam. If the only way to marry a younger woman is to be near her same age then you should marry younger, not ideal but better than the alternative.

Take your own age, divide it by two and add seven.
If the discrepancy is bigger than that it is a degenerate rs and usually means one side abuses or uses the other in some unethical way.
Sounds stupid the first time you hear the formula, but makes sense after some time

Meanwhile, the President of France has a wife 20+ years older than him.
Just because you can't get something doesn't mean it's not common.

Women who want a steady relationship and want to lock down a husband early are better off dating men in their late 20s.

>es but he said we couldn't be seen in public
How old are you and how old is he?

/thread

But most women are immature until later years and some are forever immature.

It was only normal back then because the average lifespan was 30-40 years old so they were forced to marry younger.

In what retarded puritan world do you live in?

Mother was 14 when she started dating my father at 26, and everything turned fine

>and everything turned out fine
He says this while posting on Yas Forums

>one is 18-19 and the other is mid to late 20s.
Those are the ages I'm aiming for in a bf as a 19 y/o. And it isn't because of money or anything like that (my crush is a poor 25 y/o), I just like slightly older guys' manliness and confidence.

depends on the person
something robots would never understand
>bleep bloop female must act like chad/pua
>boop blup im an npc

depends on the person, if it works it works
some are very mature at 20 and some are still children at 30. You wont know till you try it with that person.

This right here. I'm a 31 year old woman attracted to 20 year olds. So I know this is true.

I only come here once in a month to make fun at retards and correct the ignorants

If the older person has the tisms then yes. They are 1/2 to 2/3 mentally/emotionally their physical age. But that rule is only true for the highest functioning of autists. Midrangers like me are good if u want to be a mommy to me

>here's some bullshit I think I might have overheard a t.v. say in another room at some point

Late 20s.
He's not. He's pretty rough in bed actually. He is the nicest and most respectful guy I've been with though.

aw, i guess it's not that common
but still cute, i hope you're happy together :)

Thanks. The wuflu bullshit has separated us currently though. RIP.

You're hitting the wall at the speed of sound. So how much did you sleep around in your 20's?

My wife is a full 20 years older and we get along and have a nice enough, happy relationship.

if this is true, is it weird if a 24 year old guy dates a 15-16 year old girl? asking for a friend

Be my mommy gf right fucking now.
In US culture you'd be called a creep and a rapist/pedo
Depending on the European country no one would care
French fags are like mid twenties dating a fifteen year old? Make sure you record the sex!

I'm pretty sure that's still off putting to a lot of people there too though...

I'd say to most
Not to kids (25 below) but definitely to most
So I used to work at an international school and the dating age gaps were huge sometimes
I had a few saudis that asked me if 14 was okay once but thats their culture, so now I have to straddle the line between customer service, protecting the kids from different countries, and protecting the company

honestly its really subjective but the best thing to do is half your age +7
25? round up one, half your age, 13, +7, 19. This doesn't apply to women.
When I was 13 I had a thing with a local college girl. Was told it was wrong blah blah blah muh abuse in one ear out the other. Older girl on younger guy is a different story though, more power dynamic abuse potential here.

>Be my mommy gf right fucking now.
The current lockdown and social isolation have honestly made me entertain this idea for a moment.

I'm 23. Preferred method of contact, and I'll drop mine for you to add.
Worst case scenario, you lose five minutes, best case scenario, you kill time during the quarantine.
