I'm afraid of COVID-19. They said it was just a flu, and that it was only in China, but every day there are more cases and deaths. The United States now has the most cases in the entire world. The number is going significantly higher as states actually start to report cases. The stock market is in free fall. America went from "hoax" to "nothing to worry about, it'll be over soon" to "Try this shady drug, what have you got to lose?" Some people even admitted it's a problem but insist that "It only affects boomers" as if that would somehow make it better (because God forbid a person cares about anyone besides themselves), but that's not even true. It's proven to be extremely dangerous to everyone, young and old. A few people are still in denial but everyone else has woken up. The only people still denying it's a problem are people who live in the middle of nowhere who have been completely unaffected by it. Businesses are shutting down, events are being canceled, people are out of work. Governors are ordering statewide lockdowns. The only countries that have managed to avoid having much trouble are ones that went on lockdown immediately. It's getting worse.

Me too fren but what can be done except trying to distract yourself and not going outside
just stay inside and ride it out. collect your unemployment checks, get your 1200 trumpbux, have all your groceries delivered and wipe them down with clorox wipes, wash your hands, don't go outside if you can, etc.
i dont understand,, it feels like world governments just lied to us. I had no clue of the severity of corona until my country went into lockdown. im scared. i dont understand why governments have put their citizens at such risk.

This. All we can do is endure. Hopefully this crisis can be a wake up call for our society to actually change; it's shameful how divided and unprepared the US is for situations like these.

The infection rate is planing off. Another 2-4 weeks of quarantine and the spread will be under control. There will be at least 100,000 deaths after this is all finished though.
