Depending on the prison, if you're crime isn't that despicable, you might be able to make friends with the guards, volunteer to help around the prison, and get goodie goodie points, you may even get your sentence lightened if you show model behavior.

Just about every prison has a white gang, even if they are a small part of the population. If there really isn't then there's a group of "others" that stay together, like the jews and asians and old dudes and such. Not much protection but they do stick together.

Maybe things work differently from the prisons I've been but in my experience, prison traps (who fully embrace being prison traps anyway) are fucking insane and will kill you at the first sign of weakness. You're not usually someone's bitch except maybe in bed with your prison husband/boyfriend.

as someone who has been to prison, you just need to stay away from the fags and not make trouble with gangs or dudes of different races. By default, if you keep to yourself, 9 times out of 10 you won't have trouble come your way.
