Are kettlebells a meme?

In this day and age, you take what you can get, meme or not.

Yes

No

No

Yes

Maybe.

Kettlebells are fucking awesome. I've been using KB swings to train for power on my thrusts so I can dump high test loads into whales easier.

COMRADE, the Kettlebell will teach you strength, whether you it want to or not.

Tell me

t.highland games athlete, most of our training is kettlebell swings, deadlifts and press excercises.

Kind of.

They're good for conditioning and cardio, but very limiting in strength and muscle mass. Yes, you can press and squat heavy bells, but why wouldn't you just use a barbell for that? It's easier to load and progress, and it's also cheaper, heavy KBs are exspensive as fuck. Even Pavel Tatstolouineuidisiihei whatever, recommends people stick with barbell for overall strength and easier progression.

>t. bought into the whole Strongfirst KB meme

kettlebell homegym master race
>rise up
>t. bought into the whole Strongfirst KB meme
that's where you fucked up, should've gone the giryevik way

A lot better for health and fitness than weights.

They will not make you look like a retarded bodybuilder though, so probably not for you.

Whenever I see someone doing kettlebell swings I try to telekinetically push it so they break their kneecap.

Kettlebell deadlifts? user.. I dont even.

I'm sure you can do some quality stuff with it, specifically explosive lifts but are they worth buying if you're scrimping for equipment? No.

kettlebells are great, happy that I bought myself everything

my advice is to buy two 16kg kettlebells

how could you be more wrong
16 and 20 or 24, than just ducktape 2kg disc's to get equal weights if you want it to be symmetrical

i like them because i can use them as weight for my weighted pull ups/dips and still do isolation, they're like a 45 plate and a 45 dumbell

They also take less place

I mean I would prefer dumbbells but right now due to this corona shit I use mine for shoulders and tricep, seems to work fine, kinda impressed

do not teach me idiot, your kettlebell is shaped the way it is for a reason and a pair of equal weights should be shaped roughly the same

do not try to run for the huge weights on a kettlebell, buy yourself new ones when older get easy, but dont sell old ones

kettlebells are my favourite and i am angry to see stupid westerners talking on what they dont understand

imagine using hardstyle KB's, LMAO
>ngmi
you're getting jewd by Pavel

what does hardstyled mean

also pavel tsatsulin is a lyer and a fake do not listen to him

non giryevik shaped KB's
mofo we on the same side, it's more bang for the buck to get different weight on KB and just pop 2 kg disc weight underneath to go up a size, no point to getting 2x16KB

No point wasting your breath on the fat virgins on this board though, mate.

>that's where you fucked up, should've gone the giryevik way
No. I care about raw strength, not muscle endurrance. Atleast strongfirst have you focus on pressing progressivly heavier bells, but then again, why not just use a barbell or a dumbbell then?

kettlebell sport uses only 16-24-32kg kettlebells

and you cant do two handed exercises like snatching into squat with one kb having weights taped to the bottom

>kettlebell sport uses only 16-24-32kg kettlebells
for competition yes, in between and above for training
>and you cant do two handed exercises like snatching into squat with one kb having weights taped to the bottom
ok, so that is one in how many that is not doable or at least safe, you won't be going from zero to snatching double 16's or up anytime soon
I'll agree to disagree
>raw strength
imagine limiting yourself you know you can also press with giryevik KB, right?
