>Who is /fat/ for? For feta orbiters who want to better themselves through meaningful hard-work, strategy, and dedication. This is not QTDDTOT, stick to questions on fat loss
>Now what do I do? Count calories, all of them. Calculate your TDEE at sedentary Buy scales, be accurate in your measurements Learn how to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables. Eat a lot of protein. 1g per lb of goal body weight. Do cardio. Even if its just walking, cardio will improve your health which is sorely needed. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can off set the risks. Lift weights. This will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat. You don't want this. Post your height/weight/screenshot of MFP/Cronometer food log when asking for advice
>DON'T Eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calorie count Eat processed foods, or at least try to avoid if possible Drink your calories. Alcohol, soda, hot chocolate, fancy starbucks shit. forget it. Freak out over a stall in weight loss. Plateaus can last up to three weeks. "Reward" yourself. Be a retard.
How close are you to your goal? How long do you think it will take you to get there? Are we all gonna make it? I'm just 2kg away from reaching my goal and it will probably take me around a month to achieve this, it's been a long journey /fat/ but we're all gonna make it
James White
>How close are you to your goal? I started two weeks ago and don't even own a scale yet, so far, far off. I'd assume at least 18 months away.
Charles Fisher
any pro strats to stop thoughts of food when they're happening? im fasting so i cant eat a stick of celery or some gay shit like that
Ayden Hall
Do something that distracts you. Preferably not at home so you're not right next to food, even better if it's exercise.
Daniel Smith
Height: 5'8", Original goal: 140lbs Aug 2018 -> Oct 2019: 260lbs -> 155lbs Oct 2019 -> Jan 2020: 155lbs -> 170lbs (started lifting, consciously went on a surplus) Jan 2020 -> May 2020: 170lbs -> 145lbs (kept lifting)
Levi Murphy
its super cold where i am and with quarantine im always home but the thoughts i get are for like fast food n shit so there is 0 chance of actually getting the food, but my brain just wont shut the fuck up. hopefully when my jump rope gets here i can just smash some of that out when it happens
Lucas Martin
Jump rope works, or just doing pushups until you're physically unable to or something.
Ayden Young
fuck i completely forgot bodyweight exercises exist lmao, thats a good ass idea
for me vidya and reading science fiction or fantasy always helped. Getting immersed into another world makes me forget about hunger
Jose Walker
I've put on nearly 30kg in a year from drinking and the stress of work. I was looking so good before this. It's a rollercoaster for me as the year before that I was the weight I am now and lost it all through fasting. I'm going for it again lads. Least I know how to lift now
Kevin Reed
go outside and do yardwork or go for a walk if you live in a city. its an addiction you gotta get away from it
Michael White
yeah vidya isnt doing it for me atm, fps can be really tilting when im struggling, other than that i went full autist on bannerlord when it dropped so kinda burned out from that still. might need to find some older single player games or something
Charles Reyes
Dropped from 325 to 220, and now it's as if theres a huge barrier that blocks me from getting below 220 despite fasting on a deficit. It's frustrating
try RPGs, I've fasted a couple of times by accident thanks to Witcher 1,2,3
Brody Lopez
I expect you're exactly as I'll look like in a year
Lincoln Allen
>How close are you to your goal? Still around 20lb off. >How long do you think it will take you to get there? Realistically a long ass time; I’ve only lost 4lb in the past two months, but if I restrict any more aggressively I just wind up binging. Probably end of the year at this rate. >Are we all gonna make it? Maybe.
Mason Thompson
What? Did you just have a stroke typing that?
Colton Nguyen
Started 290 Now 230 Goal 130 5'9 Could get there in 7 months if I just stick to fasting. I plan to do just that. 210 day fast is kinda scary to think about, just for safety reasons, but mentally? I'm prepared.
Jaxon Perez
>goal is 5’9” 130 Even if you’re female that’s way too low.
Chase Gray
Ok fatass.
Leo Jenkins
Hey, you have the same scoliosis as I do.
Brandon Myers
Two months into lifting. I don't even crave junk food anymore because it doesn't have enough protein and my biggest source of stress is getting enough protein in my body without constantly eating.
Xavier Lopez
Started at a big 135~kg place, right now I'm down to 117kg after two and a half months, I am not sure on my goal weight, but what I try to go for is a pretty slim/thin body. Will probably get to that at the end of the year/start of next depending on how it goes. Right now I do OMAD/48 hour fasts with a 72 thrown in, usually 1000-1500 cal meals.
Brayden Martin
Plan on 2 lbs per week as a chick, so one year to get to that goal weight. You can (and probably will) do it quicker but I can tell you that 2 lb per week plan works very well for most people. Good work so far.
Tyler Price
>someone retarded enough to near 300lb calling anyone else fat You would need skin removal surgery for 130lb to not be massively underweight accounting for the weight of the skin idiot.
