Does size matter when it comes to who would win in a fight? Can a smaller person win if he/she has better technique?

Just buy a gun

yes but the time it will take to get to the point where size doesnt matter will take years and may break your spirit and body in the process

no height weight and reach make no difference in a fight what so ever if you truly believe you can win user you can, except you cant so you'd probably get your fucking teeth kicked out you colossal fucking faggot

>Can a smaller person win if he/she has better technique?
To a degree. But no 150lb dude MMA master is going to stand a chance against someone with 50lbs on them, assuming it's not straight lard.

You shouldn't really worry much about the person's size. Most likely the other person sucks at fighting and so will you. What you need to actually worry about are the people around you. You don't know which one has the bottle and is about to smash it over your head.

LMAO! did you not see that 150lb mma fighter kill the 200+lb powerlifter?

Not in the SLIGHTEST unless you’re on the ground (ask anyone who wrestled against a guy who weighed 30 more pounds than them)

I love how Barret's arm is the size of Tifa's entire torso, yet Tifa is the brawler in the game, and Barret fights using a gun.

Weight is a huge factor in a fight as well as reach. Anyone who says otherwise has never been in a fight.

Even with some training, if you're 155lbs trying to find someone athletic above 200 pounds with no fight training, you'll lose 90 percent of the time.

>does size matter?
Are you a tranny?

Makes sense. One guy trained strength so that he could pick up big machinery to kill people with. The other only did calisthenics training and martial arts shit making them appear as if they are weak. Sounds pretty realistic to me

im a streetfighter, ive been in probably over 50 fights some I won some I lost but I certainly know not to fuck with people who outweight or outreach me, my sisters husband is this massive 6`3 200 pounds giants and the sole idea of fighting him scares me. im 5`8 160

if he manages to connect one hit its over, there is no recovering from that, no amount of "ill tire him up" cope can make up for raw physics.

CURSE YOU SHE-MAN

in awe at the size of this lad

How would a twink defend against the bloat bounce?

For fit people 20 lbs = 1 belt

A black belt (bjj standard) vs a man 100 lbs heavier with zero training is a fair fight

No you haven't

dex vs str

It matters a lot, no matter what the Gracies may say, yes technique will make up for about a 50lb weight difference, but if the person has superior strength, speed, and endurance then your technique isn't going to cut it. Balancing technique with training strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, coordination and situational awareness is what wins fights

Probably with a throw if he is trained.

Weightlifters are too slow and bulky since they don't train anything but strength, if you take a 150lb fighter and put him up against a 200lb rugby/football player then it's going to be a real bitch for the fighter to win

Powerbloaters on suicide watch

lmao, nah man. No professional athlete is going to be that dumb to think they can beat another professional athlete in their own sport. Only fat fucks think this

height no
weight yes

have you not seen the early days of mma where they did freak matches? fuckin sakuraba came into ufc as a heavyweight but was actually like 150lbs. He beat the fuckin heavyweights and they were all fighters...

more like str vs dex/str

No... not even close... where the fuck do you retards come up with this stuff

only if youre fighting a 6'7+ giant.

Weight classes exist for a reason. Size isn't everything but a huge dude who lifts and throws a roid rage punch at your face will knock you the fuck out before you can reach him. That being said his punches will probably be very slow and just a lot of power, and he'll have no idea how to grapple and just try to brute strength you to the ground. So, if your techniques allow you to get a bigger dude to the floor your chances are decent cause big guys aren't used to being put on the ground and will probably calm down/give up when they hit the floor.

>Barret is literally part gun
>Also named after a 50. rifle

anime obviously. Yas Forums's reality is more comparable to anime than actual reality

yes they do but for people with same skill sets. Otherwise, your weight means nothing against some killer. Just look at wanderlei fucking everyone up in sparring session, even Werdum.

I never said the fighter wouldn't win, I implied it's be much harder to fight a rugby player who combines running with explosive strength and some flexibility than a bodybuilder who just knows how to work against disadvantages of leverage
