Is it beneficial to shave body hair for fitness?

I heard that the body consumes protein to keep body hair alive. So if we shave them, does more protein go to muscle production as we workout? Would that make any difference?

Idk about for fitness, apart from swimming, but it's extremely beneficial if you want to get laid. Most women seem to prefer hairless or minimal hair from the neck down. If you have something like back hair they probably won't touch you. I had a girl who found my armpit hair disgusting and asked me to shave It down. Now in regards to it being beneficial: If you shave you'll sweat less and it stinks less quickly.
And body hair hides definition, I shave every few weeks so that I can keep progress in check.
I've had girls tell me they liked clean shaved more and others that they prefer body hair. But in my own experience this ratio is about 40/60.
