It's my main problem with "My 600-pound life". They show there's absolutely no need for the surgery, but it seems like every single person on the show goes for it anyway. Why? Why doesn't anyone lose the weight they do to get to the approval point and then say, "Hey, I actually don't think I need that surgery after all"? It's madness.
