I'm a 6'5" 120lb 19 y/o male who really wants to put in weight and gain some muscle. I keep seeing that a 23-26 BMI is the healthiest range and what everyone should aim for, but that puts me at 200+ pounds. That doesn't seem possible in my current state, but is it something I should aim for in the long term? Any advice would be appreciated too

Bro dbol and testosterone asap
Please post bod so we know what we are working with here. You might be one of the few who should try GOMAD.
Im 6'4, 220 lbs and pretty lean (12% bf maybe). Your frame and how much muscle you have are big factors.
Not like you need to settle on a "long term goal weight" this exact moment. Just aim at putting on weight and lifting weights until you like what you see in the mirror.
Ive bulked to as high as 250 and in hindsight, I just got fat. Ive been as low as 180 and was a twig.
Just focus on putting on weight then you can think about cutting down later
I thought I was a skelly st 6'4" 200 when I started lifting. Unironically do GOMAD.
GOMAD for a couple months with noob gains is actually a really good idea for you OP. Preferably unpasteurized milk if you can get it. If you can get unpasteurized, you have to start slow and build up the bacteria to properly digest it
Bathroom is occupied right now but I'll try to get one soon
Why unpasteurized?
How does gomad work? I'm familiar with what it is but not what it's supposed to do
Thanks for all the support btw, I didn't expect this kind of response

Drinking a gallon of 2% milk every day will give you 2000 calories and 128g of protein. Do this on top of a good diet and you will gain weight and muscle especially with the benefit of just starting a lifting routine where muscle gains are fast.
Tdee 3.0
Okay, that makes a ton of sense. Any recommended guides for a good diet and workout guide? I'm completely new to this all.
Excuse the messy hair, but here's a picture
Not sure if you're telling me to use it or post results but here's results

unironically SS + GOMAD
Alright son luckily you're in good hands.
First, you gotta lift. Other wise any weight you gain will be 90% fat. I recommend starting with something simple like SL 5X5, but only for 2 or 3 months max.
Second is your diet. I would aim for 2300 calories a day to start, do like a 17 calories per pound of body weight ratio. Your diet should be 50% fats, 25% carbs, 25% protein. The closest food that has these portions naturally is peanut butter.
You can try GOMAD (drinking a gallon of milk a day on top of your normal food intake). But I would only do this if you are truly struggling to gain weight.

bold choice
Alright, that sounds like a good plan. I'm looking into getting my own weights because I live in the middle of nowhere with no gyms around. Would something like eatthismuch.com be a sufficient way to set a track on what to eat? I'm never really tracked my diet before.
I've had it since jr year of 2016. A few people recognized it, complemented it, and we had a chuckle. Most don't know what it is.
I've never used that site, but it looks fine. My rule of thumb is eat until you're full. At the end of the day, if you feel like you didn't eat enough, just east a few spoons of peanut butter.
You need to eat much more food.
thank you skeleton

SQUATS & OATS = BIG GAINS
How hard is it skelly bro
No bro hes 6'5 eat at least 2700 calories to gain weight, percentages dont really matter just make sure to get at least 170 grams of protein in every day (non-negotiable)
I support for gomad
I'm trans btw if that matters
You should train mma and bully midgets with the jab, wouldn't even need to cut weight
The sticky is obsolete grandpa, get with the times

Sorry OP please dont listen to this retard you dont need to worry all the specifics like macros and you damn well need more than 2300 calories a day. Just focus on lifting heavy, high calorie intake, and the only macro you should worry about is protein. Make sure it's about 1 gram per lb of bodyweight.
>Make sure it's about 1 gram per lb of bodyweight.
It's 1 gram per lb of LEAN bodyweight, however OP should just dive in at 1.5g/lb since he's practically weightless.
how the fuck do you not have abs at that height and weight?
user abs are muscle mass. op is a cock sucking skelly
youre suer skinny, its time to put on some muscle. you are untrained so you can easily gain 10, 20, or even thirty pounds and look fantastic
start working out, read the sticky, eat enough protein(150+g a day) and rest well.
you dont need to be 200 lbs to be "healthy" that is on the higher end of the spectrum, you can easily be 150, or even 180 and still look great.
I agree with this, youre a beginner so you dont need to count calories or track macros other than protein. youre gonna gain lean mass just by training and(potentially even without a caloric surplus) just try out a basic lifting technique and eat meat a bit more protein than youre used to
