I think it's common knowledge that farmers, mechanics, construction workers, and other laborers have "large hands" but specifically I've noticed that it's their fingers that are much girthier than women and more low test men.
Additionally climbers seem to have the same kind of hands. Pic related are Alex Honnold's, a famous climber. Check out this reporter mirin his hands. youtube.com/watch?v=SR1jwwagtaQ&t=4m43s Also you can find a couple websites of women lusting over his thick fingers.
He claims his got thicker due to the rough treatment they get climbing, specifically crack climbing, where I guess you get your fingers jammed more and expose them to sharp edges. I'm not a climber really, so just guessing there.
There are no muscles in the hands, just tendons and fat deposits. Some claim the rough treatment increases fat deposits, others claim the tendons thicken up after sprains.
I'd like to have bigger hands, but don't want to intentionally damage them. I'm hoping there is a way to train that will result in my fingers getting thicker. If anyone has any experience feel free to chime in. Also post hands
Thanks for the gore. But you are correct. What about the fingers though? Looks like the muscle in the photo is localized to the low thumb and outside palm with far less once you get to the fingers.

Gamers "hands". Notice the slim fingers. Unfortunately my hands look just like this
Tendon's get stronger and thicker with a muscle but at a much slower rate
Jason Gomez
My own hands. Am going to start trying things to thicken the fingers. Currently I have set up a hangboard to mimic some of the stresses of climbing at home. Also maybe fingertip pushups, but I'm not confident in that having a big effect.
Personal experience too, sprained a finger wresting and to this day it is slightly thicker than the others.
If anyone was to chime in with experience I'd appreciate it. I'll try to make an update post, maybe at the end of summer. Also, post hands
Hmm, old people do have bigger fingers from my memory. Perhaps age is as important as the type of use/abuse they receive.

Been doing towel tbar rows. Its rough on fingers but unironically makes them girthier i noticed like a week ago, so theres definitely something behind this. Also there is some asian martial arts technique where they slap thing which majes them develiop meaty hands

story time on those stitches?

I don't know bro, you have normal looking hands. There is no reason to focus on them. The hands you posted are all beat up from field work or climbing mountains. It is probably just from stress and callous.
Jack Lewis
>thinking hand "thickness" has anything to do with test yeah man all those shoeless bums have high test with all the callouses on their feet, retard the skin gets inflamed and swollen from years of abuse, their SKIN and MUSCLE is thicker, not their fucking bones the absolute state of this fucking board, perpetual 18 year olds
Jayden Morgan
A lot of it comes from small wounds and scar tissue being built over time. You probably have a couple of small scars on your hands from when you were a kid. If you look closely at someone who works with their hands, you'll find out they have plenty of those all over them.
Famous climbers are probably not a good example cause someone with a naturally big hand is going to have an advantage at climbing. More like correlation than causation.
Anthony Taylor
Not quite what you're looking for, but I used to crack my knuckles sideways on my left hand, and now my knuckles are significantly bigger and bonier on that hand. I stopped doing that because i don't want rheumatism.
Cameron Turner
>there are no muscles in the hands >there are no hand muscles I hope your hands lose all muscle and are unable to pick things up at all
Wyatt Thomas
The skin is just rougher and thicker form using them all the time t.plumber

Ooohh, thank you for this. I will add slapping wood to my routine.

Fell about 3 stories onto the sidewalk. A variety of injuries but fucked up both hands and one arm
>There are no muscles in the hands, just tendons and fat deposits. First there is most definitely muscle in that hands and I can tense it. Secondly I think hand size and thickness is relativly genetic. I do know repeat micro stress fractures will increase bone density which I guess would yeild slightly thicker bones. Fuck my hand looks weird in a picture.
i think the reporter in that video got gang raped in some arab country. it was some massive protest and they all just ripped her to shreds. it was very upsetting to hear about.
Nice mitts. Can you speak to the conditions your hands faced in your life? And age perhaps?
Kevin Howard
>Can you speak to the conditions your hands faced in your life? Pretty much from the time I could walk I had tools in my hand, I help my father build tge shack we lived in, well as much as a 3-5 year old could. From the time I was big enough to work a shovel and crow bar I was digging holes and trenches do shit. Started doing martial arts at age 8 with some pretty serious physical conditioning, google makiwara, did that unill I was 16, have been working with motors and cars since I was in primary school and am a mechanic currently. I do push-ups on my knuckles because one of my wrists is fucked. My hands have had a hard life only 25. I just assumed genetic as all the men in my family have huge hands.
Hudson Edwards
Just watched a video of makiwara. Cool stuff. But wouldn't you say that based on your life that finger size is partly, maybe even mostly due to environment and not genetics? I think something like makiwara would be good for my summer "experiment". But maybe 3 months isn't long enough.

I honestly believe that playing instruments during puberty gives you long mr. skeltal fingers like pic related, probably the same with climbers who start young only they get ogre hands instead.
If youve ever used a hammer ,wrench or screwdriver for more than an hour, you'll notice your fingers swell, if repeated daily , the abuse will thicken both the skin the tissue will toughen and the bones will widen , to accomodate the stress. It doesnt happen over night, it takes decades.
Asher Morris
I played guitar daily from 14 onwards and got tiny manlet fingers.
