My only issue with my current setup is that there's a beam running across the ceiling right where the plate is when I do overhead press, so I need to move more to one side or the other to not hit it.

I finished building this rack recently and I bought a bench from some old guy for a good price. I'm planning on putting a pulley system and a punching bag soon. Hows it look brehs

in hindsight I should have bought one of those half squat racks, better long term investment
this serves my purposes for now though

I just do weighted calisthenics and then I have a barbell not pictured that I just do zerchers and deadlifts with
it works out ok

Why not just build two posts if you're not going to have the safety of being able to go inside the rack?

Yes I spent a lot

The metal I used is kinda weak and afraid of it basically folding and falling into each other I built those supports, I also want the whole thing to be for pull-ups, pulldowns and a punching bag . But I have thought about safety so I'm gonna try to build a adjustable safety spotter because I'm a retard and I pretty sure I'll get hurt in the next 3 months.

Reposting from last thread.
Got some 2x4s now so I'm going to build squat stands tonight.

Finally found a usable piece of equipment to hack apart and turn into a cable machine for all-around arms. I’m build a slide mechanism to position the pull high or low for cable curls, rows, chest flies and a few other things. Home gym is getting used hard lately but half of it is set up for producing N95 masks so that isn’t in the picture... room is pretty big.

Around 6k on equipment, not including the flooring and mirror.
Rack was around 1500 by itself, but it's all high quality

Recommended gym equipment?

You must not drop the weights

The ideal set up for a home gym would be a power rack, about 140kg of weights, adjustable dumbells and something like an assault bike or rower

I’m extremely interested in seeing the rest of your house.

>fridge next to the water heater
>safety so high on DIYcage you can't even use it
>whole house is cluttered like white trash

I can see you and your family are geniuses

Looks great, man. Worth spending coin on something you'll use

Not that it’s a dick measuring contest, but I bet I spent more.

I took the home gym pill years ago, and my pop had a power rack made for my birfady three years ago.
Together we built the deadlift pad as a base.

Right now my basement is unfinished but I'd kill to have this equipment in an esthetically pleasing finished basement weight room.

I have a rack and bench but i'm more jealous of your room more than anything.

I need more weights

I want to buy and install a punching nad in my garage. I could probably nigger-rig the bag onto a stud in the ceiling, otherwise I'll get a stand to hold the punching bag for me (ゴゴゴゴ). What's a good heavy bag size for beginners, do I need gloves or will wraps suffice at the beginning, and do I need the small speedball extra thing?

Pic related is the 100lb bag I'm looking at.

is it even possible to buy weights right now? all i have is a set of 35 lb dumbbells and can't find anything else at all anywhere.

And this is the station I set up for ironing the initial folds to keep everything together better while stitching and for counting out and packaging completely products.

bare minimum should be a barbell, rack, bench, plates

pull-up bar and dip station are recommended, along with a dip belt of course
