Is chili the most based meal there is?
Beans
pretty based
Not really a meal tho right? Like you gotta eat it with rice or some shit too
why?
Whaaaat? Nah man, just eat it straight, if you're a lardo, put in some crackers, or if you're from the country cornbread or peanut butter sandwiches, but you don't NEED grain to eat it, it just enhances the flavor
Trips of truth, I just had a bowl of chili for brekky, leftovers from yesterday
>peanut butter sandwiches
Are you talking about these, or an actual pb sandwich and what part of the country does this? Never heard of this.
Yeah, here in Iowa people, mostly from the country, eat chili with a peanut butter sandwich. City dwellers mostly think it's weird and "wtf why would you do that", but my Dad was born and raised on farms so he brought that mentality with him when raising us. Got a pretty funny story about it though
>Family friend invites us all to a chili feed (We're pretty close with them, so we tend to get familywide invitations)
>We go and get some chili
>Family friend brings her low energy onions boy son and his girlfriend
>Patrician of his family, another family friend, starts to eat his chili with PB
>Basedbro is very confused by such things, and so is his girlfriend
>They have a jokey argument for the next 30 minutes or so, making it abundantly clear that he's a city boy
Where do you live user, if you don't mind me asking?
Fucking filter, I wrote s.oy not based
Southern ohiofag here, everyone always ate chili with a pb sandwich. You're right, cityfags just don't get it
>no garlic
are you even trying?
You're right, you're right, I just don't think garlic goes well in chili personally.
Legumes of any kind with meat of any kind is based. Oven baked gigante beans with sausage and bell peppers is my favourite instance
>chili con Carne
>beans
>tomatoes
Fucking Yankees I swear to God
>t. half Texano/half Anglo
To get some carbs to make a complete meal.
user... Tomatoes are mostly carbs...
Beans have a ton of carbs and actual micros and fiber. Though if it's that soupy, you probably need something drier to put it on
I make at least 18 cups of chili a week. I'm thinking of doing GOCHAD (gallon of chili a day). I honestly believe chili is one of, if not the healthiest meals you can have.
If you are putting in enough beans to add an appropriate carb intake, your chilli is going to be pretty shit.
3.9g per 100g
Never tried this but sounds based
Agreed
Love hearing about inbreds strange eating habits. Definitely gonna try it.
>He lives in California, Texas or New York
Actually, I'm in the first world.
Thanks for the interest though.
Sure you are.
Texas, but yeah city life.
Yeah peanut butter sandwiches with chili are a pretty midwestern thing, I'm not surprised you haven't heard of it. Good though.
After moving out of my parents house I started cooking batches of chili to refrigerate and eat throughout the week. Easy to make, tastes good, good macros. Pork is way cheaper than beef so I've been using that instead to save even more.
So yeah, chili is based.
I've been called poor and tasteless for advising anons to get a crockpot to make chili for cheap and easy meals on this very board.
Chilli is the best.
Thats because you are poor and tasteless, user
Chili is fucking based
