I'd follow him to watch him break his back but I don't have social media just Yas Forums.

He wont get it, he will be too mentally exhausted by the 501

I don't know what would be funnier: Thor lifting 501 and watching eddie and his 'tard gang go mental, or Thor actually failing and seeing the Thor gang trying to turbo cope with Eddie going turbo ego on them

Look at him smoke 470 kg today

youtube.com/watch?v=jhj5qXvpC_0

He hit 470 easy. No chance he fails 501

Shit happens every single day, just takes one wrong move at that sort of weight to fuck your shit up

>in a suit
lol

Thor is a coping roided pussy

Thor might do it, but I doubt his career has much more life left in it. Remember how quickly Eddie faded after his 500, and Thor has gotten the drug bloat these last couple years himself.

When he's gone, the stoltman brothers look like a very promising source of entertainment. The Scottish flavor is neat, and they're already fully hooked into the youtube game despite just having become big names in strongman. Their videos are pretty good, and it looks like they'll be able to last in what they're doing.

>Eddie faded after his 500
Because he fucking retired?

>gained a million subs on youtube in a few months
>faded

Eddie did the 500 kg dl in a suit as well.

Hello user. I see you're new to the strongman hobby. Allow me to spoonfeed you: Eddie retired not because he really wanted to, but because his wife would've left him if he didn't, and because his body started falling apart shortly after his 2017 WSM win. It is commonly presumed from Eddie's extreme, all-or-nothing training regimen and general attitude in the sport, and from his frequent declarations that his physical condition was in, according to his medical team, life threatening territory, that Eddie's cycle was causing alot of metabolic and cardiovascular havoc. Additionally, he had a tendon rip off in his ankle, iirc, and then he dislocated a hip while squatting, and had to spend months in recovery, starting with a couple weeks in a wheelchair. He won Britain's strongest man in 2018, and that was his last professional competition. In 2019, he had his right bicep tear off the bone, too. Lately, his physique has begun to deteriorate in a concerning fashion in his youtube videos, despite his continuing to train. It looks like he's developing palumboism, has reached chemical burnout.

This is what I'm referring to when I say he's "faded"

SeeBy "faded," I'm not referring necessarily to fame and visibility. I'm referring to his athletic state

That isn't true. He tried because his wife was going to divorce him

idiot

I remember prime Eddie, before he even cut into the yt game, dling 980 for reps in his gym on his then yt channel "UK's strongest," which had like 5k subs.

His first video on yt was him recording himself with a webcam, crying and talking about his mental health shtick. At the time I admired his down to earth grittiness, but thought he looked awkward on youtube, and doubted that he'd ever make it in that venue. And while it's been a learning process for him, in that being in the yt and social media spotlight isn't a natural talent of his, he's gotten a social media team to help him and has improved immensely. Very impressive. Eddie proved my doubts wrong yet again, because I also believed he'd never hit 500 when he first said he would.

I'm also still doubtful about his claim to have his eye on the bench press wr too

Sorry you actually fell for the "omg I almost died" shit

I'm afraid I have to agree with user

Spend less energy focusing on arguing, and more on developing your attention span and reading ability

>I'm also still doubtful about his claim to have his eye on the bench press wr too

I think he abandoned that when Maddox broke it last year, and changed the goal to his 'road to 700' videos. Haven't seen many of those lately, though. Hope the poor old boy's gonna pull through and get there.

Lol at Brians "road to 701" bench press series, and lol at Thor's "road to 501" dl series. Brian's giving his old pal some friendly goading, but Thor, ofc, has less admirable intentions. Both of them picked the nubmers specifically with Eddie in mind, though, lol.

If Ed had a choice, he'd still be in this mode and still be competing. Sport and competition is his life, always has been

Think Ed shopped his forearms in this .jpg though

... SUBBED

NOTE: SUB TO THOR, NOT TO THAT BULLSHIT STRONGMAN CHANNEL

Sub to what? His twitch?

youtu.be/T9Y4o_BqC0A seems pretty shopped in general

This is such a ridiculous lie, there is 0 way that he could life 520 and he isn't even going to try because of the health implications behind an attempt.

he is luring in gullible fans that don't know better with a lie, and that is morally awful.

What makes you so sure he can't? That's a pretty balsy, or stupid, lie, if he knows he can't do it

eddy had on 2

Watch his 501 attempt at the Arnold Classic last year. His foot actually begins to slip and while he probably wouldn't have gotten it, being off balance definitely didn't help.

no idiot he deadlifts 1000 pounds

Brb learning how to join twitch
