ITT: We brainstorm and come up with the answer to the most beneficial hobby of all time, after lifting of course.
Initial research shows that people with hobbies show IMPROVED PHYSICAL HEALTH, even if the hobby isn't focused on physicality in nature. For peak Yas Forumsness, having a hobby is a must.
I want us to walk away with a short list for contenders for hobbies that are objectively peak fun and life improving. While hobbies are a personal choice, I think we can agree that if we really think about it, the opportunity costs and gains from certain hobbies are worth more than others.
Some things that an ideal hobby could include, but are not limited to nor mandatory, are: >Satisfactory in the short term >Satisfactory in the long term >Productive, meaning you have something to show for it after effort, such as knowledge, skills, or objects >High social prestige that will make you more interesting and liked; attractive >Improves mental or physical health
Maybe not a hobby, but I really enjoy being shitfaced at underground techno raves and dance until 7 in the morning. I like it so much I sometimes go alone.
Sadly, when I mention that to girls, they usually respond with a weird look.

Learning how to play an instrument and make music

Hunting, it gets you in the great outdoors, you get to kill and eat your prey, it allows you time to either bond with your brothers or to be in isolation in the wilderness, it’s breddy gud.
Josiah Hall
>women like when men aggressively cuddle other men
Wyatt Brown
This is a pretty good contender.
1) Musicians are wildly known to be attractive 2) Playing music has shown to be beneficial towards brain development 3) You have something to show for it, including skill and your own work
I imagine it can be a frustrating hobby to get into late in age, however. Most of it is going to be spent alone training, even if there are social benefits. So you better make sure that you actually enjoy it.

Golf is great. You are outside and it takes coordination and mental skills

I think one that should be considered is rock climbing. I started doing indoor rock climbing about a year and a half ago and love it. >exercise, burn fat, build muscle, etc >noob gains are great, noticeable progress every session. >>functional strength >after youve done it for even a year, what you can do will stun normies. >very social, made friends through it. >all the people are generally nice and laid back. >atmosphere of wanting to improve and pushing to get better
Biggest drawback is every gym often has a bunch of DUDEWEEDLMAO’s but even they are nice people, albeit kinda annoying
Dylan Moore
Im married now, but my favorite thing in the world was going out getting wasted and having 1 night stands
Gardening for sure. Makes healthy food for you, gets you outside, you interact with community if you do it right, you can improve at it over your whole life as you gain skills, you become more self sufficient every year, the food just tastes way better than store bought especially tomatoes Like every summer I get a bumper crop of tomatoes and they're so fucking delicious you could bite into them like an apple. I make some toast on a nice thick sourdough, put thick slices of tomato on them, just a tiny sprinkling of salt. It's so fucking good bro. One of three or four activities that actually make me feel like I am happy to exist.

I just picked some stuff I want to be good at and that seems rewarding in the long run
>Oil painting >Reading
Might not find girls through them but me and my future wholesome wife will do both of these together.

Illustration is pretty fun, many girls are into it too. All you need for digital art is a tablet and free art software
Grappling martial arts. Striking is good too but the brain damage from sparring and competing don't make it worth it for me. If you're not a spaz grappling is safe. You can study it for a lifetime, the sparring is fun and relieves stress, great camaraderie with gym bros, insane cardio shape, competing is good to test mental strength, it offers a real world benefit if you ever had to protect yourself or someone else.

Thanks for sharing user. If I ever get a yard ill try it out.

Took this up as my uni recently added a wall in the gym. Excellent way to spend a few hours out of the week, haven’t seen noob gains in 5 years so it was refreshing to advance in something so quickly when adding 50 lb to a lift is a year long endeavor.
Angel Lewis
Grappling & Striking sports both attract unscrupulous hotheads unfortunately. This makes it difficult for new people to join in as the hotheads can’t take friendly scrapping and end up crushing the newbs. Incredibly rewarding if you’re able to commit to them though. I would recommend to stave off cutting weight seriously until you’re good enough to make it worthwhile as a pro-tip. t. 17 years wrestling experience

Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of framed ink
joined bjj for ~12 months & was literally crushed beneath fatties/hotheads at minimum 50% of the time. We'd be running drills & dudes under 20 would turn it into a full roll. Like calm the fuck down dude im half retarded and only remembered the 1st step

mind being a more specific? not sure changing the camera angles does anything important
I'm from the southeast and feel left out because I never learned to hunt. I feel weird learning to do it on my own...like I need a mentor or something to do it

There's more than just one problem with that infograph.

Cabinet/furniture building Nothing feels better than friends and fampie asking you to make one of a kind pieces for their place. Im doing a poker table again next A close second would be playing an instrument. Piano, bass, sax, guitar are all based

Probably rock climbing and dancing, at least that is what I do.
Too bad the girls in rock climbing are all liberal psychos, at least where I'm at. They are friendly enough and nice to look at when their shoulders aren't like boulders, but god damn can talking to them be irritating.
I haven't done dancing for as long, but the women are classier as far as I can tell, or at least aren't as insufferable. The only downside is that that at near 28 I feel like I'm a baby with the demographics and the only girl who I'd consider going out with is also my instructor. Too bad she isn't single.
