not an olympic lifter going for one rep maxes
hypertrophy training is always sets past failure
this guy is just a pussy

>Listening to someone with a bubble gut that takes HGH

he's talking about technical training, martial arts in particular, btw
of course he talks about pullups, but in the MMA world, you're in the gym every day, always training, and a more relaxed approach is better in terms of having a long lasting career

for lifting, go hard, push yourself to be your best
but in MMA, when you're training every single day, you need to pace yourself

fuck you OP

Pavel and bis ilk are always invariably small, weak or both. No one in strength or physique competition uses his methods because they don't work. Pavel is cool and is able to invent/propagate fitness memes though so of course he has a following

Look at Georges St-Pierre and tell me that guy isn't fit as fuck even though he doesn't "lift heavy stuff xd", seems to me like most of you autists are going to be crippled when you are 60

>always sets past failure
No

he talks about russian oly lifters following that kind of training and winning olympics, but not sure if true or just memeing

i agree with you
i'm just clearing the air in case anybody mis-interprets the message
Zahabi's message was spoken from the perspective of an MMA practitioner
that is all

outside of deload, yes
ngmi, you pussy

Oh look, it's the "pick one example of a high level genetic outlier athlete and make whatever point you feel like making" argument again

Nah, the stimulus to fatigue ratio is all off. You seriously think forced reps of squats, RDLs, benching etc won't get you injured as fuck if that's ALL do you do if you're not a total fucking dyel? I mean yeah do it for low impact lifts like laterals, curls etc if you want to be a total hardcore warrior Spartan in your air conditioned gym, meanwhile I'll be lifting properly

based

is there any "to failure" lifter that is not basically human debris by the time they hit 30 or 40?

for pure muscle hypertrophy, this is pretty bad
for pretty much everything else, this is pretty good

to build as much muscle as possible, you HAVE to go to maximum intensity, allow proper recovery (normally over the course of a few days), and repeat

to improve a technical skill(such as MMA), a relaxed, long-term, daily approach is the key

this guy coached GSP, I'll take his word on what works best from his experience
only bad thing is that the title makes it seem as if this approach is the most optimal, be-all end-all way to train in all regards

There's always an excuse for people like you huh? "Oh why am I fat and GSP is fit and fucking my girl? It's just genetics" Cry more pussy

nigger in the post it says for hypertrophy
nobody is doing rdls squats and barbell bench press for hypertrophy
fucking retard

Fuckin nerd looks like Anatoly Karlin

>nobody is doing rdls squats and barbell bench press for hypertrophy
Kek

I'm leaner and stronger than you. There's no point in smashing your joints to pieces because you have deluded yourself into thinking that making it hard for yourself is more important than getting an effective workout.

yes noobie dyels like you are because you have no baseline muscle to actually contract proper

Nobody does barbell compounds for hypertrophy holy shit bro you literally do not lift

excellent bait sir, really, you are spoiling us

Oh my god fella, you're arguing out your ass and have no idea. This isn't even a discussion, barbell compounds being good for hypertrophy is so far beyond dispute that I'm not going to bother responding anymore. The only way someone could ever believe this is if they don't lift

>nobody
Except literally every Olympia competitor who ever stepped on stage

>I'm not going to bother responding anymore
You aren't going to respond because you don't have a clue about any of this. Go ahead buddy, enlighten us with your knowledge

Joe is barely talking

rofl look at phil heaths routine
nobody is heavy squatting anymore

Don't you have something better to do than just baiting people? Like lifting, maybe?

what about strength? pavel claims russians won olympic lifting competitions through this method

>All these idiots think he's talking strictly about hypertrophy training
He's talking about general athletics, MMA, technical sports, etc

All the best combat athletes in the world train this way, consistent maintainable effort training is more valuable than infrequent bursts of maximum effort training when your goal is to improve your capabilities

The best Muay Thai fighters, boxers, MMA fighters, Olympic wrestlers, all train this way

Arguing about hypertrophic training is different, but this training philosophy is proven to be the most effective for general athletics/sports

i'm unsure about the most optimal way to develop strength, i've never trained for that. all I know is that for MMA training, this consistent effort style training is the most effective

lol

I met GSP, you wouldn't know he was jacked if he was wearing a T-shirt, he ain't a big guy. Wasn't impressed

he could kill you without using a weapon

He would unironically kill you with one hand tied behind his back

this
looks don't mean much when it comes to who's deadly and who isn't
a dinky pistol could kill any man
outside of weapons, fat fucks like DC, Fedor, Roy Nelson, could all eviscerate the average man despite looking like shit
