Why does everyone call squats the king of the lowerbody and not deadlifts? Deadlifts actually work all of the muscles of the lower body, squats are all quads and glutes

Squat isn't king, its the lift of fats, manlets, and especially fat manlets. Deadlift is next with twiggy dyels whos arms hang to their knees pulling 300kg and only squatting and benching in the low 100s, and this is before adding in a SUMO shitter pull. Bench is closer since its harder to cheat upper body strength development, but fat manlets and twiggy dyels have figured out how to cheat that one too in their individually unique way. The only lift that cant be cheated is the strict press, and Im not talking about that rippletits olympic chest bounce double layback hip extension bullshit that was removed from the olympics for a reason.

Because the deadlift is more about leverages. You can be a dyel shitter and still pull respectable numbers if you have long arms.

I don't care what nuckols says. The hamstrings are involved in a squat, and the less upright you are, the more your hamstrings are used. Actually, even nuckols says this in the article you linked so I don't even see your point. Is your point that the squat is not a hamstring exercise? Because that's obviously true.

My point is that they are not involved to a significant degree. If you did nothing but squats, and no hinge movements, your hamstrings would be severely underdeveloped. The difference in hamstring between a front squat and a low bar back squat is also insignificant. The hamstring used in the squat is less than the quad used in a deadlift, which is what makes the deadlift king of the lower body

Squatting a lot improved my deadlift. I could deadlift 200 kg before I was even able to squat 150.
